The Federation of Russia is a massive, devout nation, ruled by Vladimir Putin with an even hand, and renowned for its suspicion of poets. Its compassionate, hard-working population of 1.268 billion have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

It is difficult to tell where the omnipresent government stops and the rest of society begins, but it is effectively ruled by the Department of Law & Order, with areas such as Education and Social Equality receiving almost no funds by comparison. It meets every day to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Moscow. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 44%. A powerhouse of a private sector is led by the Uranium Mining industry, followed by Trout Farming and Soda Sales.

Government police forces protect public schools from the threat of protest, businesses are scrambling to adapt to the government's mandate that 'time and measurement no longer exist', the government is cutting back on the number of political prisoners executed each year, and murder victims' families receive windfall payouts when the murderers are executed. Crime is relatively low, thanks to the all-pervasive police force. Russia's national animal is the Bear, which is also the nation's favorite main course, its national religion is Russian Orthodoxy, and its currency is the Ruble.

Russia is ranked 12th in Russia and 20,754th in the world for Most Subsidized Industry, scoring 16 on the Gilded Widget Scale.
