The Orbital Map of Kurona

How it Works:

Launching Satellites:
  • Any member nation of Kurona may attempt to launch a satellite and track it on the orbital map, presuming they have resided within Kurona for at least 4 weeks.

  • Rockets are required in order to launch satellites and other objects into Kuronian orbit. Member nations may choose to build & develop their own space program or cooperate with other nations to launch satellites with their existing rockets.

  • The orbits for which a satellite can enter are limited by the rocket they were launched on.

  • To save real estate, each member nation is limited to 5 satellites per orbital body. Nations may request the decommission of an existing satellite to make room for newer satellite launches.

  • If a member nation leaves the region or ceases to exist, any satellites launched by them will remain in commission for one week before being removed from the map. This does not include satellites launched for other players.

Rockets:

  • There are three tiers of rockets: Short Range, Long Range, and Heavy

  • Short Range rockets can carry satellites to Low Kuronian orbit, Long Range to High Kuronian orbit, and Heavy to orbit around the Kuronian moons

  • Any nation wishing to develop a space program must start with a Short Range rocket.

  • A new rocket starts out with a 95% chance of failure. With every failed launch, this percentage is halved. With every successful launch, this percentage is reduced by a quarter.

  • A nation may begin developing a higher tiered rocket once their current rocket reaches a 5% chance of failure or less.

  • A nation may only attempt one rocket launch per week.

The Kuronian Space Gateway:

Information:

The Kuronian Space Gateway, or KSG for short, is a joint research venture in space exploration by the member nations of Kurona. This space station, the first of it's kind, was created to be a united Kuronian front in science and technology. In addition to this, it was created to act as a gateway to the outer reaches of the Kuronian System, extending missions by refueling rockets. Once a member nation possesses a Long Range rocket with a chance of failure of 5% or less, they will be invited to contribute a module to the KSG. A member nation's contribution to the station is permanent. Contributing members can utilize the station's refueling capabilities to create a research outpost on a moon of their choice (Requested via telegram to Bulraton - 1 outpost per nation).
