The People's Republic of ElectronRepublic is a huge, environmentally stunning nation, notable for its public floggings, frequent executions, and vat-grown people. The compassionate, hard-working, democratic population of 342 million ElectronRepublicians have some civil rights, but not too many, enjoy the freedom to spend their money however they like, to a point, and take part in free and open elections, although not too often.

The relatively small government is primarily concerned with Education, although Healthcare, Welfare, and Public Transport are also considered important, while Spirituality and International Aid receive no funds. The average income tax rate is 26.5%, but much higher for the wealthy.

The thriving ElectronRepublician economy, worth 28.9 trillion electrons a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. However, for those in the know, there is a slick, highly efficient, fairly diversified black market in Information Technology, Beef-Based Agriculture, Woodchip Exports, and Tourism. The private sector mostly consists of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, but the government is looking at stamping this out. Average income is 84,593 electrons, and distributed extremely evenly, with little difference between the richest and poorest citizens.

The government extracts trade concessions from poor nations in exchange for humanitarian aid, t-shirts displaying a photo of Leader performing the Full-Monty are selling out, the government supplies ragtag bands of resistance fighters in exchange for vague promises of future payment, and ElectronRepublician police have to pay out of their own pockets for bulletproof vests. Crime is totally unknown. ElectronRepublic's national animal is the cat, which frolics freely in the nation's many lush forests.

ElectronRepublic is ranked 108,409th in the world and 2nd in Enclosed Island for Safest, scoring 69.64 on the Bubble-Rapp Safety Rating.
