The Captialist Republic of FederationofAmerica is a massive, efficient nation, ruled by Thomas Porter with a fair hand, and remarkable for its ubiquitous missile silos, free-roaming dinosaurs, and compulsory military service. The hard-nosed, hard-working, democratic population of 3.874 billion Captialists are effectively ruled by a group of massive corporations, who run for political office and provide their well-off citizens with world-class goods and services. Their poorer citizens, however, are mostly starving to death while being urged to go out and get real jobs. The populace has reasonably extensive civil rights, although these are mostly aimed at allowing them to buy whatever they like.

The tiny, corrupt, pro-business, outspoken government is primarily concerned with Industry, with Education, Defense, and Administration also on the agenda, while Environment and Law & Order are ignored. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of New Federation city. Citizens pay a flat income tax of 3.2%.

The frighteningly efficient Federation of America economy, worth 940 trillion Federation Credits a year, is broadly diversified and led by the Retail industry, with major contributions from Information Technology, Arms Manufacturing, and Soda Sales. Average income is an amazing 242,860 Federation Credits, but there is a vast disparity between incomes, with the richest 10% of citizens earning 2,110,046 per year while the poor average 4,430, a ratio of 476 to 1.

Stale 'yo mamma' insults have been replaced by 'your maternal DNA' insults, artificial intelligences seeking exciting work are overcome with ennui, people who have never eaten chicken are told it tastes a bit like crocodile, and flu research is commonly shut down for fear of creating a superbug. Crime, especially youth-related, is all-pervasive, perhaps because of the country's complete lack of prisons. FederationofAmerica's national animal is the Snake, which is also the nation's favorite main course, and its national religion is No state religion.

FederationofAmerica is ranked 3,673rd in the world and 1st in TheFreedomRealm for Highest Average Incomes, with 242,860.39 Standard Monetary Units.
