Lucifer Superbiae (born 13 Floweral, CCLXXXII), often referred to mononymously as Lucifer, is the current President of the United Principalities of Infernia, Prince of Superbia, Chairman of the Stygian Council, and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the United Principalities. He is also an author, sailer, oceanographer, and marine archæologist. Lucifer has already served three terms of office and is four years into his fourth.

Born to Aurora and Astræus in Pandæmonium, Superbia; he succeeded to the posts of Prince of Superbia and President of the United Principalities on 2 Fruitidor, CCCIV, replacing his father Astræus, who had died the day before. He had already been acting President since his father became ill prior to his passing.

Of good disposition: Lucifer is known for his sophisticated tastes, calm comportment and philanthropism; rarely to vociferate, even during heated debates with other members of the Stygian Council. Militarily; Lucifer is not one for war, but he does not overlook Infernia's security and constantly plans defensive strategies against Infernia's enemies, and even allies. He is highly regarded amongst the Infernian people, mainly the Superbian upper class, as he throws many expensive parties; often in honour of his own accomplishments.

Lucifer is a non-interventionist, and holds that political rulers should avoid alliances with other nations but still retain diplomacy and avoid all wars unless related to direct self-defence. He is a major advocate of free speech and expression, and promotes such liberties internationally.

Economically, Lucifer employs a mixed-market economy in Superbia. Unlike the objectivist market of Avaritia or the libertarian markets of Luxuria or Ira, Lucifer believes the market should be more or less free of government ownership except for a few key areas. These are the government programmes such as education, transportation, post, etc.

Lucifer is also an anthropocentrist, and considers human beings to be the most significant entities in the universe; and believes the world should be interpreted in terms of human values and experiences. This kind of human supremacy is deeply embedded in Infernian culture.

In his leisure time, Lucifer enjoys driving his Stout Scarab, and other classics from his collection, but prefers to be out on the ocean. An active sailer, Lucifer owns many yachts and hydroplanes and spends as much time on the water as he can. Lucifer also appreciates art and music and vigorously hunts for paintings, statues, and artefacts for his collection(s).

Lucifer is in many ways an obsessive man: He synchronizes the clocks in his palace and regularly sends cards to himself to test how well the postal service is working. Like most Infernians, he lives a revelrous lifestyle outside of work; wine and/or vodka being his favourite alcoholic drinks. Other than alcohol, he also likes tea.
