- Analogue Consciousness (AC) is the use of radio signals or other information representation to put a machine in a state of being awake and/or aware of its surroundings. This theorem was created by Acedian scientist Dr. Diabolodore Rositanius. He predicts that this new abomination is the way of the future and believes someday that this hideous creation of his will be in every factory in the United Principalities.
Testing has shown that Analogue Consciousness is capable of complete integration into Infernian culture and society, though test subjects often display aversion or reluctance to engage with automatum. Taking steps to make automatum models more human-like are under consideration. Unfortunately, automatum, alien to mortality, tend to be a danger to themselves and/or others. Restraining programming is also under consideration.
The Ministry of War has taken interest in utilizing Analogue Consciousness for combat operations, citing the "ethics" of a fully mechanized army over a human one; the Stygian Council has not yet considered this option, and Minister of Science Damianus Phallus has advocated against this.
