Political Parties and list of Prime Ministers / President of the Senate
In 2016 the Parakkan Empire disbanded the old political system and instituted the Parakkan Senate, the voting system is via proportional representation, what this means is if a political party gains 10% of the vote, then they would get 10% of the seats. In additional the Leader of the Senate would be called the Senate President or President of the Senate, and would be from the political party('s) that can form a majority or has the biggest percentage of the vote.President of the Senate

Voting System
The Parakkan Empire has adopted a voting system of Proportional Representation. What this means is if a political party gets 20% of the votes then they get 20% of the seats. In order for a government to be formed there needs to be a majority of 52%. In addition Parliament consists of 600 seats.
In terms of voting, its broken down in to two stages, the first stage is the preliminary stage, this is for 100 seats. These 100 seats are broken down between the lowest scoring 8 parties. The remaining 500 seats are reserved for the second stage elections. The reason for this, is to ensure that parliament has some diversity whist ensuring that a stable government can be formed.
If at the end of the second stage elections a government cannot be formed then the Emperor, will put in place a number of "officers" to make the day to day decisions till the next election or Parliament requests a third election. Note: A third election can only be called after two and half years after the second election.
