San Medici's geography

San Medici sits at the end of a large peninsula and includes a nearby archipelago (Think of Spain and the Canary Islands). These islands, conveniently named The Isles Of San Medici, feature a mostly plain landscape and are surrounded by lush beaches and vibrant coral reefs. There are several cities in The San Medician Isles, including Puerto De La Cruz, Candelaria and Betancuria. The mainland features a more diverse landscape; San Medici is split into north and south by the Atlas Mountain Range. The North features coastal plains and several hills and valleys, and it serves as the home of the nation's lush rainforests. The South, on the other hand, is home to pine tree forests, tall mountain peaks and is home to San Medici's second largest lake; Lago Congelado (Literally "Frozen Lake") and tallest mountain peak at 4,167 m; Pico Colobo (Colobo Peak). While North San Medici is a popular summer destination for tourists, the South has a thriving skiing industry and is more popular amongst hikers. The mainland is littered with large metropolises such as Ciudad De San Medici (the capital), Placencia, Corozal, Orange Walk and Ladyville. A large river named Rio Grande runs in between both South and North San Medici and flows into the Pacific Ocean.
