Mother’s Day Earthquake and Lilieja Disaster

On May 10, skyscrapers shook, city centers flooded, and 27,682 people died in Starrden’s worst natural disaster, the Mother’s Day Earthquake and subsequent Lilieja Disaster. Here’s the timeline of events:
May 2: Seismic activity begins to intensify at the Lilieja Subduction Zone.
May 10, 9:50: The magnitude 8.6 earthquake is believed to have started.
10:15: P-wave hits Bajan Lusasoniku, SEWS activates.
10:18: The infamous Lilieja Seismic Activity Broadcast begins transmitting to the Starri government and later news outlets.
10:30: Disaster strikes. The active volcano under Lilieja erupts underground. The pressure causes a massive explosion destroying the island and killing around 10,000 people.
After 10:30: Massive tsunamis caused by the earthquake and explosion hit Starrden leading to 17,682 people dying as well. Massive clouds cover the skies and pumice falls like hail.
