The Republic of Tetduum is a huge, orderly nation, remarkable for its compulsory military service, smutty television, and punitive income tax rates. The hard-nosed, cynical, humorless population of 417 million Tetduumians are ruled without fear or favor by a psychotic dictator, who outlaws just about everything and refers to the populace as "my little playthings."

The large, corrupt, moralistic, socially-minded, well-organized government juggles the competing demands of Defense, Law & Order, and Education. It meets to discuss matters of state in the capital city of Krashnov. The average income tax rate is 81.6%.

The Tetduumian economy, worth 38.3 trillion e-coins a year, is driven entirely by a combination of government and state-owned industry, with private enterprise illegal. However, for those in the know, there is a large, well-organized black market in Information Technology, Arms Manufacturing, Trout Farming, and Woodchip Exports. The private sector mostly consists of enterprising ten-year-olds selling lemonade on the sidewalk, but the government is looking at stamping this out. Average income is 91,946 e-coins, with the richest citizens earning 5.0 times as much as the poorest.

Intelligence analysts spend most of their time looking at embarrassing photos on social media sites, reassembling shredded papers is the highlight of a spy's day, naval armadas borrow their formations from synchronized swimming handbooks, and enemy agents are generally eliminated with extreme prejudice. Crime, especially youth-related, is totally unknown, thanks to a very well-funded police force and progressive social policies in education and welfare. Tetduum's national animal is the owl, which is also the nation's favorite main course.

Tetduum is ranked 212,366th in the world and 7th in The Crimson Coalition for Rudest Citizens, with 21.93 Insults Per Minute.
