Immigration Policy
Citizenship Process
Zero tolerance on illegal immigration. All illegal immigrants are immediately deported. Does not accept refugees, only from allied nations and they must go back once the war is over.
You can obtain a work visa pretty quick if the job you are applying has a shortage of workers. From there you have to live 7 years in the country, learn English, understand the history, and know the constitution, you must also have less than 50,000 dixies (around 100,000 USD) of debt.
Our immigration policy currently encompasses a visa application system in order to enter the country (except in the case of a stopover) and/or live within the borders of Santiland. Immigrants must also apply for a work permit and social security in order to work within Santiland. I[f] an immigrant is discovered to live illegally within the borders of Santiland without the proper documentation, they will be sent to immigration court w[h]ere they would be allowed to ask for a Santilandish citizen to vouch in their favour and help them find asylum within the country (we try to deport as little of an amount of people as possible).
Our citizenship process consists of first the filing of an application (after an applicant is eligible for citizenship) which will determine which level of the naturalization course one will begin at. It concludes with a final interview and then a naturalization ceremony. The process in all takes about 1.5 years.
There is no immigration to the DPRK, save for certain circumstances like S. Korean defectors, Koreans abroad, or asylum-seekers.
Jus sanguinis, or the "right of blood," means determining citizenship through the status of a child's parents. Any child born to two North Korean nationals becomes a North Korean citizen. However, if a child born abroad to one North Korean national and one parent of a different nationality, the citizenship is to be determined by the parents.
Jus soli, or the "right of soil," is better known as birthright citizenship. This type of citizenship or nationality is awarded to citizens who are born within the jurisdiction of a given state. In North Korea, birth within the country's borders does not automatically grant a child citizenship, with the exception of a child born in North Korea with "unknown or stateless parents." The process of naturalization involves formal proceedings for acquiring citizenship of a country. It is not guaranteed and can involve a wide variety of stipulations. In North Korea, the status of naturalization is unclear. It can only be granted by the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly, and further specific requirements are unknown.
Anyone may enter the nation and become a resident. No one can exist without permission from the government.
Pay $10000 to become a citizen.
The country is open to immigrants. Only if the immigrants are under the age of 38, they would be educated.
To gain citizenship, they must go through a process of naturalization by simply going through education about the country of Ireland; ranging from its national holidays without the need of studying the Irish language.
Immigration is based on a points system but favours MittelEuropa citizens due to GeldMark's alliance while refugees are welcome as of Presidential executive order.
Citizenship is gained upon testing over GeldMark's history culture etc, whether they pay taxes and after 5 years.
Carpathian Immigration has an extremely stringent vetting process for admissions. The majority of the process is designed to be in line with the Anti-Comintern Decree, weeding out individuals with a known communist history, communist paraphernalia and that have had contact with individuals or countries proclaiming communist allegiance. Other parts of the vetting process require a background check to ensure the good character of the applicant, they must be a permanent resident or meet residency requirements, and they must have been residing in Carpathia with a valid visa for a period of at least 5 years. In order to complete the citizenship process a second interview/test must be conducted, this time testing for more common reasons such as the test for language (normally conducted in German as the most globally prevalent language) and the test on Carpathian values.
After completion of the above the applicant must wait until his/her application and test results have been processed and confirmed (or rejected depending). If their application has been successful they will be invited to join a citizenship ceremony where they will be confirmed as citizens of Carpathia.
Citizenship under usual circumstances requires that an individual has resided and worked in Canada continuously for 5 years. Applicants from a skilled worker visa or people married to a Canadien citizen make up the bulk of applications. Additionally, children born abroad to Canadien citizens are considered "citizens by descent" automatically, up to one generation.[/td]Immigration is heavily biased towards Francophones. Otherwise it is fairly stringent and follows a point-based system to allow skilled migrants, predominately from France and former French colonies in Africa and the Caribbean. Around 200,000 immigrants are permitted yearly.
