The history of the Elves is a story riddled with migrations. Once calling themselves the Lindari after the sacred trees of their homeland, a great war forced them to flee and seek a new homeland. They built great ships from the sacred trees and sailed a generation across the seas before finding a suitable forest to settle in. This was several generations ago. Today, though still maintaining longer lifespans, interbreeding with humans has caused the elves biology to shift a bit. Despite this, they maintain their matriarchal traditions and culture. Though they have begun shifting their government to be more modern, they strive very hard to maintain their nature-centered religion, their connection to their environment, and their peaceful values while the try to move forward with new technology and new ways of thinking.
