[DEFUNCT] Folgorian Soldier's Kit
Warfare never allows a soldier to encounter the exact same scenario twice, and it is thus imperative that army personnel are equipped with gear that allows them to adapt to any scenario. Across the National Defense Collective’s illuminated service, Folgorian soldiers have always been equipped with the tools necessary to get the job done, whether storming foreign beaches or patrolling military bases within the Bastion. The basic Folgorian military load-out, fondly referred to as the Soldier’s Kit, has evolved since the days of gunpowder-based weaponry, but the functionality of the equipment provided by the Bastion has never faltered.Folgorian Combat Operatives are equipped with a full Soldier’s Kit, which includes the following items:
--The Lifter, a sturdy pack designed to fit all of the Soldier’s Kit with room to spare. The pack is slated for minimal ballistic and heat protection, but does not provide protection against higher caliber ballistic weapons or glancing and direct plasma blasts.
--The IM-4 Plasma Bayonet, a 13-inch blade capable of being fixed to most Folgorian small arms. One side of the blade is sharpened with a serrated portion at the base of the blade. The other side is engineered to conduct a plasma stream, which creates a plasma blade capable of cutting through most materials. IM's are powered by small plasma canisters.
--The Personal First Treatment Option (PFTO). Developed for use on any battlefield injury, the PFTO is comprised of two metal plates attached by adjustable straps. These plates are segmented into two layered halves, which can expand or contract in order to apply pressure to a wound or straighten a bone. The two plates contain biometric sensors that can analyze and treat any wound from plasma burns to broken bones utilizing a system of injectable amnesiacs, blood-clotting agents, blood sacks, quick-drying liquid casts, and compact bandages. Liquid components are injected or applied with micro needles or nozzles. The PFTO also contains removable medical components that can be removed and applied manually by soldiers if necessary, and the removable components also contain adrenaline patches that can be applied in order to give soldiers a last-minute burst of energy.
--The Portable Water Preparation System (PWPS). This filter is included with a standard Folgorian 1 quart canteen, and allows water to be purged of chemicals, harmful minerals, bacteria, viruses, fungi, or other dangerous materials in order to provide soldiers with fresh drinking water. The PWPS also comes with seven gel hydration packs, which can each provide a soldier with a full day’s worth of water.
--The Homebrew, a compact case containing seven Ready Made Meals, each containing enough consumables to provide a soldier with a full day’s worth of nutrients and calories.
--The Excavation Tool, referred to as the X-frame, is a compact digging tool designed to fold in half for easy storage. The X-frame’s strong digging head easily chops through all types of earth for easy preparation of defensive fighting positions.
--The Basic Sleeping System provides soldiers with a modular two-section waterproof sleeping bag that can be separated for cold or warm weather, a gel sleeping mat, and a tarpaulin with uniform connection points for other tarpaulins and stakes in order to form temporary shelters. The System also includes sleeping pills. All of the components are stored in a vacuum bag.
--The Arms Modification Unit, which contains a bipod, long-range scope, tactical light, sling, and four additional gas canisters for Folgorian plasma rifles and an optional four Magshot magazines for Folgorian marksman rifles.
