Electoral College Abolition

The Canadian Republic Colonies abolished the use of the electoral college in Presidential votes. While the government recognizes the need at one point in history, it no longer sees it relevant in the current time. The government has witnessed the damage done, and tools utilized to defraud and misuse this institution against the very people it claims to protect. Because of this, it is now the popular vote that determines the President. The President may only be declared following an entire count of all ballots including absentee, early voting, and other available ballot casting measures. Only after this is completed and after full investigations of conflicts of interest and complete familial and other connection to business tie divestiture may a president be enacted. Their sole duty is to be President of the nation, and they are not allowed to profit from ANY external sources of income whatsoever, including charities.
