Election Rules

Elections are held on the 15th of every month for each Ministry and for WA Delegate. Both varieties election are to be outlined below.
Section 1: Ministerial Election Guide.
1. Election campaigns shall begin a week before the 15th on the 8th of each month. On this day member states can announce their candidacy, and advertise their campaign in a single message board post. It is also strongly suggested that the day before the election you post a single message board post to advertise your campaign.
2. All candidates must declare their candidacy before the 12th. This is the cut off date for candidacy announcements
3. Members already in ministerial positions can choose to run again for their position or they can stand down.
4. The day before the election a single message board post will list each position and each candidate running for it.
5. On the 15th a poll for each position in the NCEU shall be created with each candidate on it. Voters shall select their choice for the position in question
6. The votes will be counted. If a single nation has amassed more votes than any other, they win the position.
7. If no nation has received enough votes, all nations except the two with the most votes will be discounted and the second round of voting will begin. The nation with the most votes shall then be elected.
Section 2: WA Delegate Elections Guide
Due to the more complex nature of the WA, WA Delegate elections are different and are only open to WA members.
1. Each member of the WA within the region shall withdraw their endorsement of the current Delegate.
3. On the day of the election, each WA member shall endorse their preferred candidate.
4. If no clear winner is found every candidate bar the top two will be discounted and a second round of voting will begin.
5. The nation with the most endorsements will then automatically win the position of Delegate.
General Rules:
1. Puppet nations are not allowed to vote unless the creator doesn't vote with their main nation
2. Puppet nations cannot run for ministerial positions- please do this with your main nation.
3. Member nations aren't required to vote but we strongly recommend that you do.
4. However, all WA members are required to vote in Delegate elections
5. The most positions a nation can run for and therefore hold is two.
6. You can't vote for yourself
7. Ostelbia cannot vote in election polls, but they can vote in non-elective polls
8. DO NOT like an announcement for candidacy, it could suggest bias
9. The vote is a secret ballot- [b] DO NOT announce who you are voting for[\b]
