Beliefs in the UAS

These are the political beliefs of Union of Allied States residents who have shared them. It is a work in progress. Telegram me any information to alter your part or add your ideas.

United Sentinel States

On economics: Mixed economy more leaning towards Capitalism and the Free market economy, Hayek's capitalism is the version I most adhere to(right to private property and all that), I'm very anti communist and just anti socialism in general. Not really in favour of the current system we have, it isn't great seeing as companies are exploiting the third world, growing ever bigger, powerful and more wealthy, with the public being able to do nothing about it.

On Religion: I'm a secularist with a love for crusader memes(cause civ5), keep church and state separate, though I'm a secularist I don't believe religion needs to be wiped off the face of the planet, though I will heavily criticise and call for the reform of the more backward ones e.g radical Islam

Politically I find myself stuck in the centre, though there are many who disagree with this I have no place left or right, the left being where I once stood. Now both sides say I'm either too conservative or to liberal, every test to date has put me in the middle so here I sit. I'm for Freedom of speech and the right to bear arms(reasonable gun laws, not the crap both sides are pushing in the US). Strong borders, you wouldn't let someone just walk into your home and let them stay, so why some it be the same for your country's borders(I'm not saying shut them altogether just clamp down on illegal immigration). I'm anti collectivism, and pro Individualism, I'm in favour universal Individual rights for all, I'm anti group rights. Pro limited small government, I'd cut most social programs we have today, I'd prefer low taxes. I'm pro choice for abortion, pro gay marriage, I'm believe one should have to right to transition their gender once old enough to consent to doing so, and that its not done with my tax money. I guess I'm a bit of an egalitarian and meritocratic as well. I'm in general a mix of a lot of things. I think the system that is closest to what I would like is from Robert Heimlich's Starship Troopers(the book, not the movies that people call fascist which they're clearly not). Earn your vote "Service Guarantees Citizenship".

I believe our past traditions should be maintained, but we should leave the more backward ones behind and try to advance socially as well. I believe identity politics need to go, I think the mainstream media across the board are lying for money. I believe racism and discrimination are on the rise again but is largely from the far left who claim to be against it, this is something I take great issue with

The civitas islands

On economics: I believe we should replace capitalism entirely with socialism.

On religion: agree. Though I find all religions equally evil. The reason Islam is portrayed as more evil is because of the culture of its extremist followers and the opportunities they have in comparison to the western extremists.

Agree on right to bear arms and reasonable gun laws.

With borders, ideally I’d love to eliminate all borders. However, being that we have them, yes more border security is needed, but not a stupid wall.

I’m pro collectivism.

I prefer higher taxes for increased social programs, but would prefer we do away with currency entirely.

Pro choice, pro marriage equality.

Pro gender transition.

Anti starship troopers “citizens”.

I believe tradition holds us back from progress.

As far as identity politics, it’s apparent to me that we need to unite the working class against the capitalist class, and stop the divisions of race, gender, etc.

Racism isn’t on the rise, it’s simply taken a new turn. I believe that racism is nothing more than a tool that the capitalists use to keep the working class divided against each other. Racism is kept alive through the media and culture for that purpose. I don’t see the far left as being the culprit. Everyone shoulders part of this blame, but it’s mainly the government and the capitalists.

On economy: Free market, low tax (generally). Have support for small and medium enterprises while ensuring these funds only go for SME. Flat income tax. On welfare wise: the followings shall be free for everyone (though they shall still be privately operated so the quality increases [the cost doesn’t go down I know])

1. Education (incl universities and adult education)
2. Health (all medicines shall be free though they must have approval of doctors)
3. Security (obviously)
4. Utilities (basic electricity and water consumption will be free, upwards will be hell price)
5. Housing (basic accommodation shall be free but anything upwards shall be subsidized only)
6. Food (in the style of food stamps and shall only contain food that’s nessecary, and only the lowest few percents shall be allowed to have free food)
Only regulations of health, environment and anti-competition shall exist. So for example, tariffs will be all cancelled

On social:
All drug use decriminalized, but only marijuana is allowed to be bought.
Prisons shall be focusing on rehabilitation
Death penalty and life sentence both banned
Abortion is legal
LGBT rights
Equality not Feminism (feminism is supremacy of women so of course not)
Free speech
Guns: banned but allowed for only shooting range (not even police can have them other than special forces)
Eliminate as many borders as possible and ban wars completely. Pacifism basically. Military be damned.
No more social programs, they’re not as effective as other kinds of welfare.
All ideology (incl fascism) shall be allowed, but violent and racist acts will be severely punished.

Now on religion:
We should allow the freedom of religion for now. BUT when we have progressed to a stage, we shall slowly eliminate religions(bloodless), so that no one will be poisoned by it anymore, which is a big step towards being a advanced species. Promotion of irreligion shall be the job for the government on the future.

Economy: I believe in a fair system. Tax rates would be raised, but mostly on the rich. They would pay for affordable education and healthcare. Moderate environmental protections would be applied. I think property rights are the most important rights in this category. The free market should be maintained when it can, but regulation/deregulation aren’t inherently bad. It depends the result of the actions taken. When the government cannot handle something, it can temporarily delegated to the market. The market and government should take care of each other, not fight. Cooperation is possible and efficient economics are preferable. That’s why I favor a mixed market.

Socially:
All drugs should eventually be eliminated, alcohol should be allowed with current restrictions while coffee should be warned about.
Prisons should operate to prevent crimes, so rehabilitation and punishment should both be used accordingly. I’m against torture and such, but harder punishments are sometimes necessary.
Life sentence or death penalty should be a choice. Criminals should get to pick death or life in prison if they get the sentence, unless they are dangerous enough they should be killed immediately.
Abortion, equal rights, and LGBT rights I agree with, there’s not much to say.
Not all feminists are supremacists, but the term should be ditched.
Unrestricted free speech in almost any situation, excepting information that can prevent crimes. The police should be notified if someone is clearly planning a terrorist attack.
Guns should be legal with regulations that do not limit rights. Simple gun laws could prevent shootings, but they shouldn’t be banned. At licensed areas, automatic weapons can be legal to use. This will help with militia training while not allowing any automatics unless hell breaks loose. Police should have guns but rules should limit power abuse.
Globalism is nice and all, but it cannot be achieved yet. Building up democratic militaries will increase the power of democracy worldwide. Peace will happen afterward, but military action must be planned carefully and safely. Unnecessary death is bad. I am not a pacifist, but the military should be used sparingly. However, globalism will be brought around best by the power of free countries. The oppressed shall be liberated everywhere and dictators should be disposed of. Global democracy is the end goal.
There should be full freedom of expression so long as it does not violate reasonable laws decided upon by due process and upheld by the popular vote. Racist speech should be discouraged but not forcibly stopped. The public should be tasked with calling racists and other extremists out, but they will not be harmed for those reasons by themselves.
Religion:
Keep all Abrahamic, agnostic, and atheist beliefs in society forever. Pagan religions can be discouraged. More scientific versions of the best religions should be enco, but nobody will be forced off religion. That violates my guaranteed rights. Christianity is rooted in society and shouldn’t be removed. There are positive values within religion we can keep while denouncing lies about those religions. Absolute first amendment rights with strengthening science and tearing down ignorance.

New new new land

I'm a socialist, for several reasons:
- I believe that capitalism and capitalist society is thoroughly alienating and dehumanising
- it's in the interests of the vast majority of people to eliminate capitalism. Only the relatively small number of people who own capital (capitalists) ultimately gain anything from it
- the pursuit of profit above anything else is extremely damaging to individuals, to human society and to the entire planet

I have no hard political principles, beyond whatever is most likely to lead to socialism. In general I have a more socially-liberal outlook, but it definitely varies depending on the exact circumstances
