Constitution of the Socialist Economic Union

1.1 The region is governed by a Board of Executives, consisting of three member nations and a Chair nation, the Chair holding authority over the three members.
1.2 The General Secretary holds executive power over all nations in the region.
1.3 The Chair of the Board is to be elected quaterly.
1.4 Any member who has sat on the Board at any point is eligible for election as Chair. The incumbent may also stand for re-election.
1.5 Nations may serve a maximum of two consecutive terms as Chair.
1.6 Nations affiliated to the region for over one week are eligible to be elected to the Board.
1.7 Elections for the Board will be held quaterly.
1.8 All members of the Board hold the right to vote on matters of significant importance to the region. During such votes, the vote of the Chair counts as two votes.
1.9 All nations affiliated to the region hold the right to vote on matters of major importance to the region. During such votes, the vote of every member nation counts equally.

2.1 The region also holds two ministerial posts; for domestic and foreign affairs.
2.2 Ministers will be elected half-yearly.
2.3 Any nation affiliated to the region for two months or more is eligible for election as a Minister.
2.4 Ministers wishing to stand for election as Chair or member of the Board must renounce their authority. Equally, the Chair and members may not stand for a ministerial role, unless they resign from their current post.

3.5 If a Minister or the Chair resigns, the General Secretary will appoint an interim officer, and an election will be held imminently.
3.5 If a member of the Board resigns, the General Secretary will appoint an interim member who will stand until the end of the term.

4.1 The General Secretary, Chair of the Board of Executives and Minister of Foreign Affairs all withhold the right to expel any nation that has commited human rights abuses from the region.
4.2 The Assembly defines such abuses as legalisation of slavery, corporal punishment, child labour or human sacrifice.

5.1 The region is open to establishing embassies with other left-wing, independent or centrist regions to promote cooperation and socialism.

6.1 Nations are not required to relinquish incumbency of any current offices in order to hold the post of World Assembly delegate.
