BREAKING NEWS: ALFONSO VIII ASSASSINATED BY PORTUGESE ASSASSIN

(RMB Today - Madrid de la Hispania, Almerdonia) - On 1 October, 2019, Alfonso VIII, the leader of Almerdonia, was assassinated while he was asleep. It was around 3:00 in the morning and the guards were down. Guards were on duty at the time, sources say, but there weren't enough standing guard to see the killer enter the premises. According to sources, he crept his way into the Açicum House in Madrid de la Hispania and snuck into the bedroom of the leader. The King was eventually stabbed 25 times in the heart and A€ 1000000 of jewelry was stolen that night.

Killer Buddy was eventually found and sentenced to be executed in the Almerdonian High Court. The killer was rumoured to have tried to pawn that jewelry before he was caught at the hands of the law. Almerdonia is still mourning to this day even after Queen Leia of the Anglo-Aragon-Hapsburg Dynasty took power. The weapon that was found outside of the palace in the gardens was a knife that was allegedly used to kill Alfonso and was eventually used to track down the killer. Twenty-five stab wounds were found in the leader before the fingerprints were found on the knife to find the Killer Buddy.

Alfonso was the leader of Almerdonia from February 2019 to his untimely death in October. He took power following Carlos I's departure by abdicating. Under King Alfonso VIII, the Überhaart Pact was formed, which is a defense pact that includes Almerdonia, Indusse, Awell Islands, Kryxtovia, the Polish-Kerban empire, and Neo Kerala. He helped form that alliance in the hopes that it would be used to protect nations involved and to ensure the stability of nations committed.

Following his unfortunate and premature death, Queen Leia of the Anglo-Aragon-Hapsburg Dynasty, who is just six-years-old, will be taking the power of the Almerdonian Kingdom. It will be really interesting to see how the young queen can bear her kingdom.
