Treaty of Conservation
"Evergreen Conifer," for all intents and purposes, means the community representing the Evergreen Conifer NationStates region unless specified otherwise.
"Member-State" means a nation that was considered a member-state under Conifer law at the time of this treaty's ratification.
"Voting-state" means a nation that was considered a voting-state under Conifer law at the time of this treaty's ratification.
"Remnant" means a member- or voting-state of Conifer at the time of this treaty's ratification who has entered and acquired citizenship in the New West Indies.
Article II: Sovereignty
Evergreen Conifer shall no longer be recognized as a sovereign state.
Its government and laws are hereby dissolved, and the remnants of its community shall unequivocally adopt the laws of the New West Indies.
The government of the New West Indies shall be the sole sovereign government over the remnants of Evergreen Conifer.
The region Evergreen Conifer and relevant documents may mechanically remain for historical reference.
Article III: Transition
All former member-states of Evergreen Conifer shall be automatically approved for citizenship in the New West Indies upon their arrival.
Voting-states may receive automatic approval for citizenship upon their request (assuming they have fulfilled all other requirements).
Evergreen Conifer shall be granted its own roleplay (without need for an application).
Evergreen Conifer shall be granted its own business (without need for an application), which may dedicated—at the remnants' discretion—to preserving Coniferan culture, such as:
Maintaining the previous Coniferan Discord server as a museum;
Keeping the Evergreen Conifer region mechanically alive;
Hosting celebrations to honor Coniferan holidays and traditions;
Acting otherwise at their discretion.
The following cultural items of Conifer shall be added to the New West Indies in stated forms:
The Coniferan flag as an official flag;
The Wren Song as an honored song; and
The Conifer as the official plant.
It is recommended that the Executive Branch and community at-large assist remnants of Evergreen Conifer with the transition period.
Article IV: Recourse
Should the Government of the New West Indies not faithfully execute this treaty, Evergreen Conifer may declare it null and void.
Article V: Ratification
This treaty shall be enacted via ratification by the New West Indies General Assembly with the consent of Evergreen Conifer's populace.
