As party nominations grow closer, incumbent Harold Brick worries he won't get the nomination.

The Garrettnesia 2020 election will occur on August 1, 2020. In addition, the two parties, the Leftists and the Right-wing, are busy nominating a candidate, and Garrettnesians will vote in the two candidates on June 1, giving them exactly 2 months to campaign. The Leftist party is divided into 3 factions, the Centrist Faction, of which President Brick is a member of, the Liberal Faction, and the Socialist Faction. The Right-wing candidates are divided into 2 factions, Moderate and Radical. Usually, the Right-wing party elects a moderate candidate, in this case Ron Carl, but the Leftist party has been getting more divided than ever. The Liberal Faction was never really that popular, but the Socialist Faction was picking up speed, and most now class Garrettnesia as a Socialist nation, even though President Brick denies it. The socialist nominee, Martin Lancer, has been increasingly popular over the past weeks, and his ratings have skyrocketed, and is expected to be the Leftist nominee. Because of this, President Brick has traveled all around the country desperately tries to get at least some of the Liberals to vote for him since the Liberal nominee (Olivia Davidson) is hated by pretty much the entire country. He did succeed a little bit, campaigning on things like stopping Coronavirus, addressing climate change, gun control, and the environment, among other things. But things are still in favor of Lancer to win the nomination instead of Brick. Only time will tell...
