This short guide will give you an insight into our region, how it works and most importantly, how you can take part! We strongly recommend you take the following actions before proceeding any further.

Citizenship grants you certain rights and privileges outlined in the Constitution. These include;

• The freedom of speech, press and assembly.

• The right to due process and a speedy, fair trial.

• The right to run for and hold office.

• The right to vote in elections.

You can apply for citizenship after three consecutive days of residing within the region.

Article II, Section 1 of The Imperial Constitution states the following regarding citizenship;

i. Nations shall be eligible for citizenship after three days of consecutive residence.
ii. Nations shall apply for citizenship.
iii. The Home Department shall consider any application for citizenship.
iv. The Home Department shall grant or deny citizenship within three days of submission.
v. Citizenship shall be immediately revoked upon any Nation ceasing to exist.
vi. Citizenship shall be immediately revoked upon any Nation leaving for seven consecutive days without notifying the Home Department.
vii. Citizenship may be revoked by the Supreme Court as a sanction of criminal justice.
viii. Former Citizens must reapply for citizenship.

The Sovereign is the head of state and Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Navy. The main responsibilities of the Sovereign are appointing the Prime Minister and granting Royal Assent to Bills passed by the House of Commons. The Sovereign is advised by a group known as the Privy Council, who advise the Sovereign in private. Other responsibilities include nominating Justices of the Supreme Court, granting commissions in the Royal Navy and decorating citizens with honours. The current Sovereign is Her Majesty Queen Victoria.

The Prime Minister is the leader of Her Majesty's Government and serves at the pleasure of the Sovereign. The Prime Minister is responsible for forming a government by appointing a Cabinet of ministers. The Cabinet Government pursue their policy agenda through the governance of the Department of States and by submitting Bills to the House of Commons. The Prime Minister designates a Deputy and is a member of the Privy Council. The current Prime Minister is Newtopian Britain.

The House of Commons is the unicameral legislative body of the region. The House is comprised of seven members who each represent a single constituency. Elections are held every three months and all citizens are eligible to run and vote. Members of the Parliament draft and submit Bills for debate which are ultimately voted on. Other responsibilities include holding confirmation hearings for Justices of the Supreme Court, ratifying Treaties and issuing Declarations of War. The House is led by the Speaker of the House, who is responsible for scheduling debates and votes. The current Speaker is Romeshire2.

The World Assembly Delegate is the Permanent Representative of the region at the World Assembly. Elections are held twice a year and all citizens are eligible to vote. Only citizens with World Assembly membership may stand for the office of Delegate. The current World Assembly Delegate is Saint Arsenio.

The Royal Navy is the military force of the region. It is a voluntary force with the purpose of protecting the interests of the region and our allies at home or abroad. To enlist you must be a citizen, a World Assembly member and be willing to designate a puppet for military use. The Secretary of State for War is responsible for the general administration of the Royal Navy and oversees enlistment. The current Secretary of State for War is The holy brittannian empire.

Purpose

The Royal Navy is the voluntary reserve force of the Empire of Great Britain. The purpose of the Royal Navy is to protect the interests of the Empire and her allies at home and abroad.

The Founder Monarch
The Founder Monarch is the Commander-in-Chief of the Royal Navy.
The Royal Navy may not be deployed abroad in any manner without the authority of the Founder Monarch.

Prime Minister
The Prime Minister is Second-in-Command of the Royal Navy.
The Prime Minister has the authority to call the Royal Navy into active duty and is responsible for updating the Cabinet Government on any military activity.

Secretary of State for War
The Secretary of State for War is Third-in-Command of the Royal Navy.
The Secretary is responsible for the daily administration of the Royal Navy; including recruitment, promotions and updating the House of Commons on the condition of the force.

Enlistment

To enlist in the Royal Navy, a nation must;

1. Be a citizen of the Empire of Great Britain.
2. Be prepared to designate a PUPPET NATION for military use.
3. Be prepared to swear an Oath of Allegiance to the Founder Monarch.

Nations interested in enlisting should telegram TRH Secretary of State for War Lunayria.

Nations who meet the eligibility requirements will receive BASIC TRAINING and be commissioned with the rank of Lieutenant.

Code of Conduct

Officers are representatives of the Royal Navy, whether in RESERVE or on ACTIVE DUTY, and are therefore expected to practice good etiquette at all times. It is strictly forbidden for Officers to post any content which is:

1. Obscene
2. Illegal
3. Threatening
4. Malicious
5. Defamatory
6. Spam

This applies to your nation's name, motto, other customizable fields, any messages you write, images you post, or any other content you upload or link to NationStates. If you do, you will be immediately SUSPENDED from the Royal Navy and a disciplinary investigation will be held at the earliest convenience of TRH Secretary of State for War. This may result in a court martial and dishonorable discharge.

The Regional Map is one of the most important aspects of our RP & Games. The current map is of the World in 1914. Citizens are able to claim a maximum of three territories on the map at any one time. Claims can only be made on the dedicated Discord channel. The Regional Map is updated every three weeks and is administrated by The home department.
