Language of the Sladerstan

Dominish

ORIGINS
Dominish is an old language, originating from before the tribal era of Dominioan. It is believed that the language was first used by the Ancient Ones, before they went underground when humans took over. It is spoken all throughout Dominioan , but almost everyone is fluent in English as well.

BASIC INFORMATION
Dominish is quite similar to English, which is why English is almost equal to Dominish in fluent speakers. Both the Sladerstan and [nation]Dominioan[/nayion] officially recognize English and Dominish as their official languages. Dominish is similar to English in that is uses the same sounds, but some are swapped in where they go.

THE LANGUAGE
The language will seem similar to English, but a few sounds are switched, some don't exist, and some are new.
Differences:
All vowels are switched to be next vowel in order
ie: A-E, E-I, I-O, O-U, U-A
“Y” is pronounced “ey”

Examples:
Dominioan---Kumonouen
Haivon---Heovun
Onfande---Unfendi
Margaux-Mergeax
"Lets go play"---"lits gu pley"

Pronunciations:
Kumonouen—-Kuh-moh-NO-when
Heovun—-Hee-oh-VUH
Unfendi—-Oohn-FEN-die
Mergeax—-Mehr-GEE-axe
“Lits gu pley”—-“Lights goo ple-ey”

The Sladerstanian dialect, in addition to these rules, pronounces W and H as "V" and "F". Sladerstanian also makes use of the German "ein/eine" for "a" (which would be e, making ein/eine ion/ioni)
