- Affirming the sovereign rights of The Congo Confederation to self development, national and international policies and all aspects of governing, as prescribed by necessary United Nations documents on national sovereignty.
Condemning the continuation of armed hostilities in Katanga, Ituri, and Kivu - and its negative affects on human rights and overall welfare for Congolese citizens.
Recognizing that the current MONUSCO mission is simply unable to perform its duties effectively.
Noting that the current MONUSCO mission has not successfully solved any of the issues that provoke tensions
between communities, such as - but not limited to - disputes over land, leadership positions, and access to natural resources,
Acknowledging that the UN has spent $8.74 billion USD on the MONUSCO project since 1999, only to see a lack of progress, change, or peace.
- 1. Calls upon the member states to act rapidly to and decide on a final outcome for MONUSCO.
2. Strongly condemns any action to subvert or disregard the peace process or attempts by internal insurrectionist groups.
3. Requests that member states to terminate the MONUSCO mission, citing irreparable failures that have proven the UN's inefficiencies in the Congo.
