Meet the Government

The Ricsian government is made up of three chambers, the executive branch which is made up the office of the president and chancellor, the legislative branch which is made up of two chambers, the house led by the speaker and the commons led by the majority leader and the judicial branch headed by 9 judges who take care of national legal matters. The president is responsible for the leadership of the nation and to accept or veto any bills approved by the legislative branch. The chancellor is the first in line for the presidency and also is head of the government, taking care of all common proceedings. The speaker is in charge of house proceedings and is second in line for succession. The Majority leader takes care of common issues and is third in line. Cabinet members are the next in line depending on their Ministry. Only in the most desperate cases does the leadership fall to the military, usually to the head of the General’s council.
