The Turkish Century?

ANKARA– Turkey's head on battle with the Covid-19 pandemic, now hailed by the international community as the great savior against the crisis. Proving once again that Turkey turned the worst crisis of the 21st century into a great advantage to show the world how far the Republic has come in the last 30 years, the unstoppable power of Turkish industry leading the nation forward to grant Covid Relief to nations across the world. Ranging from Iran to the United States of America. With most recently President Akşener and President Trump confirmed that Turkey will be sending its largest Covid Relief package to the State of California which is one of the few places in the world that is still losing the battle against Covid-19.

President Meral Akşener when the Covid-19 crisis began addressed the nation, with this message of optimism that has become the battle cry of the Akşener government in the post Covid reality.

"As we enter these unprecedented times, we are ready for the fight ahead of us. This is we will move full speed forward with Vision 2023, Vision 2053, and Vision 2071. The path to a a greater and stronger Turkey will not be abandoned. The path the world has headed in the past decades, we have come forward leaps and bounds. Our compass of the Star and Crescent entrusted in us by Eternal President Mustafa Kemal Atatürk, locked in the vision he set the Turkish Republic on. We will not only transform 21st century for the betterment of humanity. The 21st century will go down in history as the Turkish century!"

During the pandemic, Turkey continued its humanitarian efforts around the world as well, and is now poised to host the Olympics. Which begin on the 15th of July, with one clear message being sent to the international community that Turkey is ready to lead the world into the future.

This comes as trust in NATO has hit an all time low in Turkey, recent polls suggesting that less than 30% of Turks support NATO in its current version. Most sighting NATO's inability to directly prevent the crisis in Bosnia, and the French departure from the alliances military structure has only reinforced doubts in NATO. Only increasing calls within the country for Turkey to withdraw from NATO as well, many highlighting Turkey's ability to not only defend itself, but nations across the world. Most highlighting Turkey's renewed partnership with Seoul against the rouge Kim regime in Pyongyang.

President Akşener has yet to comment on this matter, however Foreign Minister Mevlut Çavuşoğlu said that 'all options are on the table', but advised against a full withdrawal from NATO. Though he did call on NATO members 'renew NATO commitments, or we risk a collapse of NATO as we know it'.

End of animosity between Ankara and Pekin

Pekin welcomes FM Çavuşoğlu/ TRT East

PEKIN – The rivalry between the Turks and the Chinese goes back centuries, with the Turks oldest lasting alliance dates back millennia, which had come about do to an alliance with the Koreans against the Chinese in order to secure the sovereignty of both people. But things have changed over the past thousand years.

The long standing distrust between the two people began to come to an end after the Second World War, though it took another 50 years until ties between the two nations began to kick off. Turkey and China today enjoy a mutually beneficial partnership, with China helping develop the Turkish bullet train network, and critical investment in other fields.

With the rising of tensions between China, Bangladesh, and Myanmar, as well as rising tensions between Pakistan, India, and Afghanistan, in the background. It was announced by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs that Turkey and China would be entering a free trade agreement.

Within hours after this announcement, Enver Organization confirmed that they will be transferring their operations in China to '恩維爾组织'. 恩維爾组织 is set to exclusively operate in China, with its operation based out of Shanghai. Other Turkish companies were soon to announce that they would begin operations across Chinese cities.

It was also confirmed that Chinese foreign students will begin enrolling in Turkish universities for the 2020-2021 school year, joining thousands across the world who are coming to Turkey to receive world class education.

The goal of both states is to ensure that the future between Turkey and China is determined by the Turks and Chinese, rather than outside actors. Which has been the case for the past decades, but as Ankara continues its rise to prominence on the international community, Turkish self determination will seemingly only increase from here on out.
