Regions Reject Restrictions on "Cultural Monarchism"

227

A recent effort to get all expressions of monarchy formally denounced and suppressed was today rejected by a confederacy of regional allotments. "It seems unnecessarily harsh," one MA was quoted as saying. "Won't this be interpreted as central cultural interference? I'd hate to seem like we're shaming our fantasy authors," said another.

An unexpected voice arose from the director of one of the regional planning institutes, formally thanking the allotments for their maintenance of peaceful trade relations. "We don't need to care whether other nations are run by monarchs or citizens, as long as they aren't interfering with our system of governance; we don't need to be capitalists to pursue peace and free trade with other nations."
