Vote For GA resolution Protecting Legal Rights of Workers
Resolution Analysis
A well-written and necessary proposal, "Protecting Legal Rights of Workers" comes hot on the heels of workers' rights legislation such as "Rights of the employed" and "Fair Arbitration Act." This inherently more specialized proposal aims to ensure that workers have unabridged access to the legal system in order to enforce their rights. This is achieved through provisions preventing arbitration agreements between workers and employers from being coerced or unfairly imposed, protecting workers from retaliation for not signing arbitration agreements, and most importantly, protecting workers from being retaliated against for seeking to enforce their rights in court. The General Assembly, as well as many member nations acting on their own, have already made significant strides in protecting the rights of workers, and legislation ensuring that those rights can be enforced is equally essential.
For these reasons, the Ministry of World Assembly Affairs recommends voting For the at-vote General Assembly proposal, "Protecting Legal Rights of Workers."
