There are many stories about where Purifier Fleets come from.

Some of them are silly stories written to entertain children.

Some of them are scary and dark stories made to teach lessons to kids about responsibility or something.

But for those who know better?

For those who spend their lives counting the lost.

For those who press the button that signals their arrival.

The only real story that matters about them, is the choir of infinite souls that scream out begging for mercy as they are eradicated from existence.

We do not know for certain where Purifier Fleets come from. Most people just make it up, some people claim divine inspiration proclaiming heretical thoughts that the old Church of the Giant Space Wyrm would have been worthy of declaring a Crusade but now? Well, old habits die hard, and a knife in the back can be just as effective as Legions marching over the Horizon.

Most of what we understand about them is that they search and search and search the Multiverse for what they call "Purity" and when a Universe fails to provide them their bounty the Purifiers wipe clean the filth.

Attempts to communicate with them have just lead to more lives lost, as they have memetic abilities to utilize communication methods as openings to new universes. Attempts to destroy them by the Dominion and other Giant Space Wyrm Entities have failed. Attempts to contain them... well only temporary success, they appear simple-minded, but we call it "Superman Syndrome" they appear simple-minded only because they do not require the ability to think to kill.

On the rare occasion that we force them to think about killing us... their retribution is often more horrible than their destructive capacity.

I do not know why you want to learn about these entities or how you came to know of their existence, I don't care.

I will expect you will have deleted those photos, as I have fulfilled my end of this agreement. You have been granted access to the files. You may only open them once and they will remain open for only an hour. No recordings of them will be tolerated if you take pictures of them the ones upstairs will know, if you tell anyone about what you have access to, they will know. Once you open them a Level 9 psionic pulse will envelop whatever instrument you have chosen to open them with.

You will want to use something disposable to open them with as soon as the timer runs out or you choose to shut them, within approximately 2 minutes the pulse will cleanse the device and everything around the device within a meter.

"The Light embraced us, and suddenly I felt naked. I felt dirty and unwashed. I begged within my mind for the light to kill me. Let me die. Please let it end.
