Preface

The College of Arms is a royal corporation consisting of professional officers of arms, with jurisdiction over The New Western Empire. The heralds are appointed by the King of Arms and are delegated authority to act on behalf of the Crown in all matters of heraldry, the granting of new coats of arms, genealogical research and the recording of pedigrees.

Officers of Arms:

King of Arms (1): Mukolayiv
Herald of Arms (1): Em-en-eye
Pursuivants (1): Communaccord
King of Arms: The King of Arms is the highest ranking Officer of Arms, responsible for setting out the heraldic law of the College, appointing and dismissing more junior Officers of Arms, granting arms to entitled citizens, and seeing to the successful day-to-day operation of the College

Herald of Arms: The Heralds of Arms are mid-ranking Officers of Arms, responsible for advising the King of Arms, assisting him in blazonry and emblazonment. Heralds of Arms previously must have served as Pursuivants prior to their appointment.

Pursuivant: The Pursuvaints are the principal junior ranking Officers of Arms. They are responsible for the study and acquisition of heraldic knowledge, aswell as emblazonment


Heraldic Laws:

Preface: The New Western Empire and all of it's constituent territories and realms shall be granted arms. Members of the Nobility and Non-Nobility are entitled to a full heraldic achievement. Members of the public are eligible for a limited heraldic achievement.

Arms of the Empire: The Arms of the New Western Empire shall be the Arms of the incumbent emperor. The Arms of any territories or realms shall feature an escutcheon, mantling, a helm facing dexter, a crown, crest, compartment and supporters.

Arms of the Nobility: A citizen of Noble rank is entitled to an escutcheon or a lozenge respectively, mantling, a helm facing affronté, a crown, crest, compartment and supporters.

Arms of the Non-Nobility: A citizen of Non-Noble rank is entitled to an escutcheon or a lozenge respectively, mantling, a helm facing dexter, a torse, and a crest.

Arms of the Citizens: An eminent citizen is eligible for an escutcheon or a lozenge respectively.
