Thegye Anniversary Tourney Event: ROUND 1!
The two warriors enter the ring to loud cheering and applause. Each makes his way before the royal platform and bows deeply to the Diarchs. Then, at the signal of the referee, the fight begins.
As the signal sounds, the Noyistan warrior draws back his mighty bow and looses an arrow, which lodges itself in Yaksin's right thigh. The Thegyan cries out in pain and stumbles, allowing his opponent's second arrow to fly over his head. Now within range, Yaksin strikes out with his mace, bashing Jerhino in his side, knocking the wind out of him. However, he recovered enough to use the arrow in his hand to strike a hard blow against Yaksin's shoulder, breaking off the head of the arrow in the flesh. Screaming in pain, Yaksin surrenders and is carted off the field to the nearest medic. Jerhino from Noyistain wins, beating from Yaksin Chek of Thegye!

The two spear-wielding warriors circled each other for a moment, each eyeing the other up. A moment passed in silence. Then, rushing forward, Raashid lept in the air and thrust his spear down at Chandra. Caught a bit off-balance, Chandra let the spear past her guard and it struck her hard in the shoulder. She cried out and fell back as the Almaazian pulled his weapon from her. Undaunted, Chandra swung around and dealt Raashid a strike to the back, which garnered a loud "OOF" from the Almaazian. However, he turned back about and thrust his spear, but was deflected, the tip pinning Chandra to the ground with a grunt. Whipping her spear up, she caught Raashid on the chin with an audible crack. Falling back, Raashid pulled free his spear, letting it spring upwards naturally, which caught Chandra across the face. She spun once and then fell on her face, out cold. Raashid, the contestant from Almaaz wins, defeating Miss Chandra II of Paikauhale!

Lord Zythe, a masterful swordsman, rushes forward and brings down a blow on the unsuspecting Dyryke. Despite the Indian's attempts, the blade scraped across his face, leaving beads of blood. As he reached up to wipe his face, Zythe took the moment to slash down and bite into Dyryke's shoulder, throwing him to the ground. Screaming and bleeding, Dyryke was unable to defend against Zythe's pommel, which struck his face squarely. Zythe rose, unscathed, to the cheers of the crowd. Lord Zythe, the contestant from Santa carina wheels wins, defeating Dyryke of Lollerland!

As the bell sounded, Princo rushed forwards, slicing down with his gladius. The German warrior hacked and hewed at Konstantin's defense and manages to strike a blow, slicing across Konstantin's forearm. Another blow from Princo sends the Cothernite reeling. Recovering swiftly, Konstantin grabs Princo's upraised sword arm and smashes his pommel into the side of Princo's head. The German crumples to the floor, unconscious. Konstantin V. Rodzaevsky, the contestant from Cothern wins, defeating Princo of Hyperico!

Istillian, raising his Australian sword, strikes out at Jiham, slicing across his chest and forcing him back. The scrape enrages Jiham, but he is pushed back again by another wide sweep. Finally, the Krotoi warrior thrusts forward, cutting across Istillian's shoulder with his scimitar. Taking the moment, Jiham brings his buckler against the Australian's head, dazing him. However, Istillian manages to thrust forward with his sword, slicing just under Jiham's arm. However, the stiff blow from Jiham finally reaches the brawny Australian and he collapses into the sand, leaving a victorious Jiham to greet the cheers of the crowd. Jiham, the contestant from Peraro Krotoik wins, defeating Istillian of Istillian!

Theobald rushes forward and ducks under the spear-thrust of Pan the Fisherman. Slicing at his thighs, the Hallowmossian warrior trips the Protectori. Falling down, he tries to scramble to his feet, but Theobald uses his buckler to smash him in the head. Falling back down and rolling over, Pan struggled again to get up, but his attempts were halted cold by Theobald's saxe hilt. Theobald Owsley, the contestant from Hallowmoss wins, defeating Pan the Fisherman of The Great Protectorate!

Catrid, swinging her double axes threateningly, eyes up the clearly drunk individual before her. He smells of strong alcohol, she decides, and something like rotten potatoes. Shrugging, she approaches him. He doesn't react. She prods him with her axe. This appears to startle Max, who didn't even know she was there, and he trips sledgehammer, cracking his head over the back of Catrid's other axe. Shrugging again, the Maranthian toed the body over. The drunkard was clearly passed out, but she didn't know from what exactly: the blow or the drink. Catrid á Sav, the contestant from Maranth wins, defeating Max Moonshine of Ellenburg!

Steven, using the reach of his halberd, strikes the first blow, but only grazes George's arm. The South New Zealander, unable to draw his crossbow in time, closed the distance and used his knife to claw at Steven.
