Ages Of Syanna

Syan history can be classified into distinct "ages":

The Tribal Age (???-1780)
In the times before colonization, Syanna was split into several tribes that were independent of one-another. During this period the ancient cities of Bashkaa and Innaad were built, and life was built on rural farming and practicing of the old religions.

The Great Enslavement (1780-1883)
Foreign explorers discovered the isle and turned its people into slaves. This ended with a violent prising and the forming of one solid nation, Syanna.

The Infant Age (1883-1900)
The fledgling Syan nation started by focusing on the new principles of society introduced by the colonizers. The national currency (the Issa) and establishing a central government.

The Golden Age (1900-1952)
Knowledge and science soared during this age, and the economy became not only stable but impressive for the island's size. Global trade and communications were set in place and Syanna became a small yet present player on the world stage. As well as this, during this time the surrounding islands also formed a coalition with Syanna to form the Syan Empire.

The Age Of The Greater Empire (1952-...)
Setting its sights on the horizon, the Syan Empire decided to expand its lands globally. Through diplomacy and common interests, Syanna formed a union of many nations, that acted as autonomous states within the Greater Empire Of Syanna.
