Overview
GA Right To Secure Digital Communication's main aim is to ban the restriction of encryption in all circumstances and to ban the restriction of secure communication as well. To prevent a loophole it also bans the requirement of usage of insecure encryption standards and methods and the insertion of "backdoors" to allow states access to private secure communications.

An exception however is the allowance of user restrictions for secure communications used for government or military purposes in the event that widening user access would limit the integrity or privacy of said military or government secure communications.

Recommendation
The ban on restriction of encryption and secure communication and requirement of "backdoors" would make it harder for reactionary states to crackdown or to unduly scrutinize leftist organization and movements, as this is always one of the intentions of mass surveillance under capitalism. This would also hinder the activities of imperialist powers somewhat, who often make use of mass surveillance for their goals and interests. The exceptions in Article 3(b) and Article 4(b) also ensures that government and military secure communications are not unduly compromised.

It also has been pointed out that the resolution does not legislate on other problematic matters such as the access of private entities on secure communications and private entities can simply just choose to "voluntarily" insert "backdoors" anyway and relay such info for law enforcement, meaning that this resolution simply just shifts mass surveillance out of the state and into the corporate sphere. However, a half potato is better than no potato, and hopefully, future legislation can close this issue in the future.

For these reasons, the Communist Bloc's Ministry of World Assembly Affairs recommends voting FOR the General Assembly Resolution under vote "Right to Assemble".
