Thegye Spring Tourney Event ROUND 3!

Today is the third day of the tournament! Crowds flock to the tournament ring outside the castle, just to the north of the city. All around, banners, streamers, and colorful flags flap in the wind. Adults and children alike speak in excited tones, each one looking forward to the event to come. Jugglers, musicians, and jesters roam the streets, adding an air of jolliness and gaiety to the warm breeze. From the taverns, shouts and songs can be heard from the early partyers, getting their fill of the cheap beer and fruity cordials. At the ring itself, already the seats have begun to fill up, and the guests of honor begin to arrive. Soon, only standing room will be left for the onlookers. The trumpets sound the royal fanfare as the Diarchs make their way to their thrones, dresses in springtime colors. Seated, the Diarchs extend their hands and signal the beginning of the tourney. Let the best warrior win!

DOKNUSH vs. BARRÁT THE WOLF

The two warriors enter the ring to loud cheering and applause. Each makes his way before the royal platform and bows deeply to the Diarchs. Then, at the signal of the referee, the fight begins.

Doknush raises his knife and brandishes it at the Wolf. Barrátt levels his heavy saber at the Baswaran warrior. Charging, Doknush slashes at Barrátt, trying to get him spotted on the end of his knife. Missing the first blow, he lands another on Barrátt's arm, but the follow-up strike from the Phusditian forces him back. Pressing the attack, Barrátt wields his saber expertly. Doknush drops his knife and Barrátt steps in to smash him over the head with his saber hilt. Barrátt the Wolf, the contestant from Great katyusha, wins, beating Doknush of Thegye!

JACK AARON vs. JELUCE

The two warriors enter the ring to loud cheering and applause. Each makes his way before the royal platform and bows deeply to the Diarchs. Then, at the signal of the referee, the fight begins.

Drawing back his American bow, Jack lets fly his arrow, smashing it through Jeluce's defenses and pricing her thigh. Swinging her kusarigama to its greatest extent, Jeluce smashes her weapon into Jack's side, knocking him over. From the ground, he quick-fires an arrow, piercing Jeluce's arm and causing her to drop her weapon. Drawing two blunt-headed arrows, Jack fires one into Jeluce's chest and the other at her head, decisively finishing the battle. Jack Aaron, the contestant from Pland Adanna wins, defeating Jeluce of Thegye!

DEFEATED BRACKET

SHAWN SHADY vs. OSOUS TUS MEMAUSIS

The two warriors enter the ring to loud cheering and applause. Each makes his way before the royal platform and bows deeply to the Diarchs. Then, at the signal of the referee, the fight begins.

Osous charges Shawn, swinging hard with his kilij and bringing it down hard on Shawn's baseball bat, forcing it to hit its owner in the head. Dazed, Shawn swings his bat, catching Osous off-guard. Stumbling back, Osous drops his defense, leaving an opening for Shawn to smash his heavy bat down on Osous' head. A resounding crack echoed through the ring as Osous slumped to the ground, his skull bleeding profusely. Shawn Shady, the contestant from Ellenburg wins, defeating Osous Tus Memausis of Karorka!

KLYNE vs. OTO

The two warriors enter the ring to loud cheering and applause. Each makes his way before the royal platform and bows deeply to the Diarchs. Then, at the signal of the referee, the fight begins.

Oto, now more confident in his skills, fishes out his stone. Klyne, warier than the previous contender, draws his daggers. Weighing the stone in his hand, Oto lifts it and chucks it. However, his form is all wrong and the shot goes wide of the ground and flies straight into Klyne's face. Klyne falls over backward, not even trying to catch his fall. Blood pours from his face onto the dusty ground. Oto, the contestant from The Great Protectorate wins, defeating Klyne of Santa carina wheels!

ALEXANDER vs. BRIFFEEN

The two warriors enter the ring to loud cheering and applause. Each makes his way before the royal platform and bows deeply to the Diarchs. Then, at the signal of the referee, the fight begins.

Alexander's sword rings as it is drawn from the sheath. Briffeen rushes forward with his war spike, but Alexander knocks it aside and slices across his chest. Roaring in anger, Briffeen uses the blunt end of his spike to whack into Alexander. Swinging it around, the Burgre warrior scraped the spike across the Greek's face. Grabbing the haft of the spike with one hand, Alexander runs his sword through Briffeen. He falls onto his back, bleeding into the ground. Alexander, the contestant from Lollerland wins, defeating Briffeen of Thegye!

ZOS vs. GRAHAM "KILLER CHEESE" ROQUEFORT

The two warriors enter the ring to loud cheering and applause. Each makes his way before the royal platform and bows deeply to the Diarchs. Then, at the signal of the referee, the fight begins.

Zos charges, using her hook, attempts to spear Graham on it. She slashes and gashes and pokes, but to no avail. Graham, lifting a block of cheese, slaps Zos in the face. Shocked by the smell and the randomness of the blow, Zos stops for a moment. Regaining her composure, she uses her hook to stab through Graham's upper left arm. Screaming, Graham tugs away, only making the pain worse. The two warriors exchange blows and slaps, the smell of rotten cheese filling the entire arena and causing some elderly people to faint straight away. Finally, Graham takes a large wheel of his most pungent cheese and shoves it in Zos's mouth and down her throat. Unable to swallow and unable to bear the taste and smell, Zos begins simultaneously choking and retching. Unable to take it anymore, she uses her hook to slit her throat. Graham “Killer Cheese” Roquefort, the contestant from Greater tagrai wins, defeating Zos of Thegye!

As the last contestants leave the ring, the crowd begins to disperse. The Diarchs rise, announce that the final round of the tourney will take place tomorrow morning, and depart for the ensuing feast. The rest of the crowd leaves, some heading home, others to parties, and still others to the taverns to celebrate wins or losses. All in all, everyone has enjoyed the second day of the tourney and many look forward to the events tomorrow!
