Condolences from the Provincial Union

To the People of the United Kingdom of Great Britain and Northern Ireland,

The People of the Provincial Union offer you our sincerest condolences in light of the death of your Duke of Edinburgh, Philip. The death of a member of any Royal Family affects their Nation heavily, especially when during times which are already difficult on the common person. The Royal Family of the Provincial Union has held the British Royal Family to be among our closest friends and we will always maintain that respect for the Royal Family and we will do all that we can to ease the pains of loss as the British Royal Family did ten years ago when we lost the Queen-Regent. It is difficult days as this one which remind us of our humanity and unity as a civilisation, not as individual Nations squabbling over seemingly important matters with no real affect on the future. We vow to help the United Kingdom in whatever way possible to get their Nation through such a difficult time.

I regret that the current state of the world prevents me from offering visitation to the United Kingdom to offer my condolences personally, however I fully intend on working with them as much as I can, even from a distance. In an effort to assist the United Kingdom, the Provincial Union will be cooperating with the United Nations on matters to assist the United Kingdom in any way we can, we only ask that the United Nations does not ask anything outrageous with the intent of souring our image through forcing our refusal.

Sincerest Condolences,
H.H.M. Alexander,
King of the Provincial Union
