Equipment and Weaponry Used by the Tethric Armed Services

Overview: The Tethric Military, being a technologically focused force has pressed copious amounts of research and funding into developing a system based around modular interchangeable design for both it's vehicles and equipment throughout every branch of it's forces. With a heavy reliance on Drone and Automaton tools in combat and support roles, the need for equipment for the flesh and blood forces of the military has not diminished. Instead this need has increased as the lif saving nature of utilizing drones for combat has also emphasized the need to enhance life saving capabilities for all elements of Tethric military hardware.

To better achieve this goal the introduction of the current development doctrine of Modularity has taken hold. This doctrine, focusing around the efficiency of both production and utilization of all military hardware incorporates a simple in theory though far more complex protocol for the creation of equipment for the military. While this method is most common among infantry and drones, it is most visible with vehicles. By creating a multitude of interchangeable platforms and chassis a variety of similar vehicles capable of a vast array of roles becomes available.

Heavy Chassis: Among the most notable of modular basics is the series of Heavy Chassis developed for both main battle tanks and other necessarily heavily armored vehicles. The three variants have each acted as a more advanced variant of the last with final Mark III variant acting as the current mainstay chassis of heavier Tethric Vehicles.

LinkThe Mark I "Crawler" Variant has largely been replaced over time, however it remains the clear opening of the new Modularity doctrine with the Tethric military as the chassis is still largely based on traditional armored vehicle design. The durability, efficiency, and all terrain capability allowed the Mark I to remain the longest running variant of chassis to have been in use by the military. However a move to tightly packed landscapes primarily in urban scenarios with a need for speed and maneuverability over durability led to the adoption of the Mark II Variant.

LinkThe Mark II "Runner" Variant almost completely replaced the Mark I shortly after it's introduction. Debuting during a series of conflicts surrounding militant criminal organizations attempting to seize control of several cramped city quarters. Following this conflicts however the Runner chassis would remain in use as the core body of a multitude of vehicles. Despite it's popularity and effectiveness the Mark II suffered from several mechanical issues that could leave the crew vulnerable in combat situation. This however would be resolved with the introduction of the Mark III

LinkThe Mark III "Dancer" Variant was coupled with a myriad of advancements in both engines as well as mechanics that allowed for a superior design to the Mark II. While the Dancer does remain more fragile than the Mark I, the difference is negligible compared to the multitude of pros in the Mark III's favor.
