The Matriarchal Republic of Jevirchy (German: Matriarchalische Republik Jevirki) (German Pron: ye-vir-ki; English Pron: je-ver-ki), commonly Jevirchy is a small country in the Arctic. The country was established by a European settler in her search of better living. Jevirchians are primitive and intelligent, The people mostly live in the Southern Part of Jevirchy, as the northern parts can be too cold for living. Jevirchy is a barren land, they spend their lives hiding from the cold weather from winter, and is more into women's rights.

Jevirchy used to be a state established by Eleanore Klinger, who was a German that settled the islands at late 1800s of what is now Jevirchy. She convinced the Inuits, the natives to create an isolated state, and established freedom. Eleanore's state was incorporated to the German Empire in 1902. Free Trading occurred and the Empire sent several needs in the country until 1920, when the country was given to Britain and became a dominion. On 1934, Jevirchy declared independence but was a dominion until 1960.

Etymology

The country name "Jevirchy" was a corruption of the word Gebirge, which means Mountain Range. Eleanore was known to be defective and unable to pronounce "G" correctly, and introduced the name Gebirge to the natives while mixing the G sound as "K" and "Y". "Jevirchian" is the standard way to call someone from Jevirchy.

Politics and Government

Jevirchy is a unitary state, under a semi presidential republic with a unicameral legislature. The country elects a president every four years, with his running mate becoming the prime minister. The President is the head of the state, while the Prime Minister is the head of the government. The Unicameral Congress of "The Jevirchian Convocation" consists of 62 seats, with 31 being elected every general election. Anyone who is elected are all determined to their votes in popular vote.

The country is divided into three regions: Baffin, Wenig and Klinger. Baffin is the coldest in the country, Wenig is used for planting crops, and Klinger is the most industrialized. The Presidential Palace is located in Crimson Mansion in Port Eleonore.

A Multi-party system is used, following the 2016 election and the postponement of the 2020 election, the Party of Frauenpower, a conservative party was the leading party of the country, followed by the Movement for A New Society, a coalition, while the opposition party Demokratische Allianz places last. The next election is expected to start in November 2021, after the 2020 election was stopped due to the threat of the pandemic.

The Economy of Jevirchy is somewhat a liberal free economy, with 240 billion dollar GDP. It is run by a capitalist private industries, controlling 86% of the GDP. It is a developing economy, with a mixture of Insurance, Beverage Sales and Weaving Industries. The country has an average economy growth rate of ~6%, among the highest in North America, The economy is also reformed lately by operation of industrializing the country.

The country still encounters problems though a developed economy. Wealth Gap between the poor and rich is very high, income has been slowing lately and economic performance ranks lower by time. Its biggest trade partners are United Kingdom, Canada, Germany and United States, these countries are eyed for Jevirchy for funding in its future projects.

Cultural Practices and Norms

The Jevirchian culture is well influenced by Inuits, and mixed by German culture. Jevirchian Inuits speak Qikiqtaaluk Uananngani or Nigiani. Inuit Sign language is also used by most Jevirchians. It was near extinction until it was decided to be taught on 21st century.

Jevirchians live for hunting and fishing. Whales, Seals, Polar bears, birds and fish are the commonly eaten animals. Jevirchians gathered some crops that are able to survive the winter, such as Grasses, roots, berries and seaweed. There is a vast array of different hunting technologies that the Inuit used to gather their food.

The Jevirchian lifespan is 70.46 years, which is taught to be influenced by their factors and living in an area where the land is barren and uninhabitable. The lifespan today was actually higher than it is before, as medical services started in the country, it rose from <42 in 1900 to >70 in 2000.

Social Issues

The biggest problems in Jevirchy is environmental issues. It is hard for survival under a terrible climate, other than that, Crime is a problem. It is detected that most of the crimes are from males, demanding the ousting of the Matriarchy. Even with a 18% Spending of Healthcare, Diseases can still be faced by Jevirchians, and the medical materials are mostly outdated, at least 800 die every year due to a disease.
