Citizenship, Houses, & Government
To become a citizen of The Eternal Order, move your nation to the region and choose one of the following:
Join the World Assembly and endorse the current Sage (WA Delegate) and Mage (Vice-Delegate), or
Join a house and fight for the glory of the region abroad for automatic citizenship:
♘ The Eternal Knights house if you're on NationStates fairly often.
♙ The Auralian Knights house to engage in combat as a reinforcement with little of your time!
If you'd like to learn more about how combat in NationStates works, check out the Introduction to Raiding & Defending guide! Citizens that choose to join a house can earn achievements, and carve a name for themselves in our history while engaging in fun operations in foreign regions.
➢ The Tribunal is a citizen-run and maintained elected council, each position serving 3 month terms, up to 4 consecutive terms if reelected, with no lifetime term restrictions. Any citizen not serving on The High Council may run for a Tribunal position during election months (March, June, September, December), and all terms start on January 1st, April 1st, July 1st, and October 1st. If you plan on running for a position, familiarize yourself with our constitution before running!
♤ Sage
The elected WA Delegate of the region, who may appoint a willing Mage (Vice-Delegate) upon taking office. Represents the citizens, represents The Eternal Order in the World Assembly, and runs the elections for Tribunal (including appointing the elected officials as Regional Officers). Enforces the constitution.

♧ Shaman
An in-character elected official that can propose or repeal legislation for in-character national roleplay through 2/3rds citizen vote, settle roleplay disputes, and access an additional international military force ("Auralian Peacekeeping Force", the APF) for forcibly maintaining peace between up to 4 warring nations. Can appoint a willing RP Mentor upon taking office for assisting new citizens in getting involved in regional RP.

♢ Scribe
The driver and preserver of culture. Oversees such things as disputes in the map claims, featured RP, featured discussion, community events, and more. Can freely pin community cultural dispatches under the World Factbook Entry (WFE). Leads the citizens during the Z-Day event and similar NationStates events when applicable.

➢ The High Council is the council run by the monarch/house system of The Eternal Order, where seats are filled based on skill, activity, and merit from within the houses. There are no elected seats on this council. The High Council oversees all foreign affairs, military affairs, and territories, and enforces the constitution.
♔ King/♕ Queen
Either a King or a Queen. Oversees the enforcement of the constitution, The High Council, and all foreign affairs. Can direct long-term military strategies, goals, recruitment, and operations.
~
♗ Bishops
Aids the King or Queen in foreign affairs, the execution of long-term operations, and maintaining the enforcement of the constitution. Guides the direction and morale within the houses.
~
♖ Lords
Each Lord has command over an individual house, responsible for maintaining the orderliness, function, and purpose of the house through training new members within the house, reaching out to non-citizens to encourage house membership, and running or overseeing day-to-day operations. The Lords may appoint a ♘ Knight Commander of their respective house as a second-in-command to aid in this, and who shall not hold power within The High Council, but be next in line as a Lord should the Lord need to step down or be promoted to Bishop.
