Demonym facts

The adjectival form of Skyae and the nation's Demonym are in fact pronounced and written differently. A person from Skyae is a "Skyaen." This is to preserve the official pronounciation /skīā/ of the name Skyae. Attaching the suffix "-an" to the name Skyae would produce /skīāən/ (Skyaean) which might be mispronounced in an offensive attempt to simplify it. This might be quite offensive to a Skyaen.

"Skyaean" means that something belongs to/is in Skyae ex. Skyaean exports. This is a result of the history of the Skyaean Demonym and is less rude to simplify.
