Exactly 2 months ago, the westernmost districts of Dygris and Redgix rose up against our government due to the recent Religious Laws which we passed regarding the status of the Muslims in Xeruts. Around 15% of the Xerutian armed forces defected to the Islamic Empire of Spaniats. The civil war started when around 130,000 men of the Islamic Army of Spaniat took control of the regional capitals of the Dygris, Redgix and Fytrid. The remainder of our army rushed to quell the uprising, but failed to do so in time. This resulted in the two districts to breakaway from the our Kingdom and join the Islamic Empire. However, the district of Fytrid remained loyal to our government thanks to the Jewish partisans who pledged their loyalty to us. There have been reports of crimes being committed against our citizens. Cases of mass rape, slavery and child abuse have also been reported.
