The Complete History of Excidium Planetis (Ironically Incomplete)

2375 A.D.
-Astronomers on Enogon, a planet in the Zen Blue system, then part of the Telsar Alliance of Systems, begin to suspect J133259.96-003744.2, a Supergiant star 14.67 light-years away, is on the verge of a core collapse. A Type II supernova that close would decimate the systems of the Telsar Alliance, so the scientific community of Enogon immediately inform all nearby planetary governments of impending doom.
-The Telsar System Evacuation Service is formed. The TSES immediate seizes control of all shipyards and begins a massive fleet buildup.

2478 A.D.
-Enogon Scientists inform the Telsar Alliance that the J133259.96-003744.2 supernova is within 29 years of reaching the Zen Blue system.
-Panic in the Zen Blue system leads to the Massacre of Enogon, where 25.3 million citizens are executed for rioting.
-The Telsar System Evacuation Service breaks down, and citizens form "evacuation groups" that supervise the construction of ships. Naturally, bands of thugs conspire to steal completed ships.
-Celaz and Nerazon, two planets in the Omnifar System, successfully maintain control, mounting a successful effort to put as many ships into space as possible within time constraints.

2497 A.D.
-The "Billion Ship Fleet" begins to form on the far side of the Omnifar system, approximately 5.27 lightyears from Zen Blue, the closest system to the supernova.

2507 A.D.
- The J133259.96-003744.2 supernova hits the Zen Blue system at approximately .10 times the speed the light. Enogon and nearby planets are bombarded with gamma radiation, and 50% of Enogon's atmosphere is stripped away.
- 52769 ships successfully outrun the blast, leaving the system for Omnifar
-837 million ships leave the Omnifar system for deep space

2513 A.D.
- The Omnifar system is hit by the supernova, annihilating what remained of the Telsar Alliance
- Of the 837 million ships that attempted to escape, approximately 122 million fail in the this year alone.

2551 A.D.
- The Fleet has erupted into anarchy, attacking weak ships and cannibalizing the remains.
- The government of Excidium Planetis is formed to oversee the fleet
- The Excidium Planetis Salvage Service is formed. The EPSS is responsible for collecting derelict ships and repairing or salvaging them.
- The Excidium Planetis Astronomical Service is formed. The EPAS is responsible for locating the coordinates and vectors of all ships in the vicinity of the fleet, as well as determining suitable nearby star systems for settling.
- The Excidium Planetis Military Service is formed. The EPMS is responsible for protecting the fleet from both internal and external threats

2553 A.D.
- Excidium Planetis faces its first opposition: a group of rogue ships calling themselves "Demon" has begun destroying fleet ships and salvaging the remains. The EPMS is dispatched to destroy them, with the promise of salvaging enemy ships offered to promote loyalty.

2559 A.D.
- The last of Demon's ships are destroyed
- The EPAS completes a list of priority salvage targets within the fleet: of the 715 million ships operational after 2613 A.D., only 55 million remain powered, and only 24 million remain active and crewed. Of these, 13,672,097 ships are registered in Excidium Planetis. Priority Targets include: 10 Ark Class colony ships (7 powered, 6 active) each holding supplies to indefinitely support 5 million people, 72564 Planetary Class freighters (34117 powered, 31273 active) each carrying up to 1 million tons of supplies, and 24000 Execution Class battle cruisers each armed with up to 600 nuclear missiles.

2587 A.D.
- Salvaging Operations on priority targets are completed
- The last operating ships join Excidium Planetis, are captured, or are destroyed and salvaged.
- Total current operating ships is 16,283,457
- Construction on Homeship Reckoner begins.

2700 A.D.
- After rushed operations to meet the centennial deadline, Reckoner is completed. Reckoner houses 90% of the total population of Excidium Planetis.

152 ACR
- The dating system is changed from Anno Domini to After the Construction of Reckoner, ACR.
- Reckoner has been steadily improved over the years, as more ships have been salvaged. It is approximately 1/3 it's current size at this time.
- The development of the Higgs Field Manipulator allows the construction of working Alcubierre Drives. These warp drives enable ships to arrive at destinations far outside normal range. Such devices are implemented on Reckoner on a large scale, and tests bring Reckoner safely to the Leiton System.

161 ACR
- Talon 76B, and uninhabited dwarf planet in the Leiton system, is captured by the Reckoner's Foldspace fields and kept in the center of Reckoner. Mining of the dwarf planet begins. About 50% of Talon 76B's matter is used to maintain and fuel Reckoner.

294 ACR
- The Planet Chri-irah is discovered by Excidian Advance Fleet scouts. Due to the sapient population, the system is recorded as a no-go for Home Fleet and Dawn Fleet.

315 ACR
- Excidium Planetis joins the World Assembly, taking a more active stance in international politics.
- Gizmos and Gadgets Surplus, a business dedicated to reselling outdated Excidian technology, is founded after Counselor Valerie Nguyen gets Council approval to lend a portion of the Industry budget to her at no interest.
- Gizmos and Gadgets enters a partnership with the AE-Celestia Corporation, which is based in Stormwrath.
- Excidian companies based in Home Fleet begin operations in the Chri-irah system, including making contact with the population.
- Excidium Planetis mobilized Excidian Guard troops to Deviniania to stop executions of protestors, mostly because the executions were performed by goods sold by AE Celestia to Deviniania at the recommendation of Counselor Nguyen.
- Excidium Planetis joined the League of Mechanocracies, to debate adoption of an AI overseer.
- Invasion of New Polypontia by numerous countries prompted Excidium Planetis to intervene. Excidium Planetis entered into a war with the Transcended Darkness, and successfully destroyed a Transcended Darkness citadel in New Polypontia. Excidian forces withdraw after this victory, but continue to lend support to the New Polypontians in the form of technology.
- Silent Fleet encounters the Imperial and Federal Union during a jump to a new system.
- Dawn Fleet makes plans to invade Aeiouia after securing a promise by the Imperium of Tinfect not to intervene. Elements of the Dawn Fleet preparing for combat practice accidentally stumble upon the Imperium of Tinfect settling a new planet, which was the home of the Vaskkil race. A strange group of entities attack, but are driven off, and when questioned by Aeiouia about their reason for being in the system, the Excidians reveal their invasion plans, laying out terms for a consensual battle.
- Protection of Sapient Rights outlaws the Birrin slave trade between Chri-irah and Home Fleet.
- Dawn Fleet ships engage Aeiouian forces near Olber III, after clarifying the terms of the battle. A few hours of conflict results in Excidian Victory due to Aeiouian surrendee, at the loss of only 197 personnel, all accidental losses.
