If you’re reading this, I’m assuming that you’ve been sent here by someone (or you stumbled upon this randomly, that’s alright too!) to learn about how Reliant works. You might be someone who’s completely new to military gameplay or defending, or you might be someone who took a hiatus in between and now wants a refresher in order to get back into the flow of defending. Regardless, you’ve come to the right place; welcome to the one and only guide you’ll ever need to figure out what Reliant is and how to get it set up on your browser so that you can get started with defending fast like you see all the cool defenders do.

Reliant is a browser extension developed by Haku that works with Chromium-based browsers (such as Google Chrome, Microsoft Edge, Yandex, Opera etc.) and makes defending way more easier than before (if you’ve used Breeze++ or Gauntlet in the past). Usually, you’d need to use your mouse to move your nation to another region and endorse other nations. While that’s usually fine, it’s also very slow and not really workable when you have literal seconds to follow the raiding nation(s) into the target region (and potentially endorse a native delegate).

That’s where Reliant comes in. Reliant binds actions like moving and endorsing to the keyboard and provides a special page for you to track raiders and chase them, making it super easy and fast to stop tag raids (like the one above) and occupation raids from being successful. Reliant also makes detagging much more convenient with just a few clicks.

Now that we know what Reliant is and what it’s used for, let's talk about how you can install it in your browser.

Like most NS extensions and scripts, you won’t be able to find Reliant in the Chrome Web Store, Edge Add-Ons or any other official browser marketplaces. Instead, we’ll be diving into GitHub to download it directly from its repository. You don’t need to create or have a GitHub account in order to download Reliant from it.

We’ll be detailing the installation processes for Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge in this guide. For help with installation in other Chromium-based browsers, contact your regional military commander or Update Command in Libcord.

The INSTALLATION PROCESS itself is pretty simple:

1. Download the latest version of Reliant (in .zip format) from here.

2. Extract the contents of the .zip file and move the extracted folder to a convenient location on your computer.

3. (Chrome) Open your browser and click on the three dots icon in the top-right corner of the browser window. (Edge) Open your browser and click on the puzzle piece icon in the top-right corner of the browser window.

4. (Chrome) From the dropdown menu, select "More tools" and then click on "Extensions". (Edge) From the dropdown menu, click on “Manage extensions”.

5. (Chrome) On the Extensions page, enable "Developer mode" by clicking the toggle switch in the top-right corner. (Edge) On the Extensions page, enable "Developer mode" by clicking the toggle switch on the left.

6. (Chrome) Click on the "Load unpacked" button in the top-left corner and select the folder that you extracted in step 2. (Edge) Click on the "Load unpacked" button in the top-right corner and select the folder that you extracted in step 2.

If you’ve followed the above steps correctly, you’ll see three buttons pop up at the top, besides “Settings”, the next time you open NS. That means you’ve successfully installed Reliant onto your browser!

You might be thinking at this point, “That’s it? There’s nothing else to do?” Well, you’d be wrong because there are a couple more things that we need to set up before you start defending. But first, let’s quickly get acquainted with the three buttons at the top that appeared in the last section.

“Reliant Settings” is, as the name suggests, the place where you make all the configurations to the extension to tailor it to your liking. This section will revolve around these configurations and what changes to make here, so that you don’t get confused starting out. You can quickly access this page by pressing 0 on your keyboard.

“Reliant” is the home page of the extension where you’ll spend the majority of your time during updates. It might look a bit intimidating at first, but it’s pretty easy to figure out once you stare at it long enough. We’ll mainly talk about this page in the Chasing Raiders section. You can quickly access this page by pressing Spacebar on your keyboard.

“Prep” is where you prepare your puppets for using them during updates. This means logging into your puppet, moving it to the set jump point and applying for the WA. We’ll mainly talk about this page in the Preparing Switchers section. You can quickly access this page by pressing P on your keyboard.

Now let’s talk about Reliant’s default settings and what you need to do in order to set yourself up for doing things during update as smoothly as possible. First, click on the “Reliant Settings” button at top or the 0 key on your keyboard, which should bring you to the settings page where we’ll spend the rest of this section at.

We’ll be skipping over Find My WA and Clear Stored World Assembly Applications for now, as those are irrelevant at the moment. We’ll go over these in the Chasing Raiders and Preparing Puppets sections respectively.

We now need to set your Main Nation, which’ll be used to identify yourself in all requests to the website. This is a mandatory step, as the extension won’t work without this. Now go ahead and input your nation name into the text box and click on “Set”. A green popup with a checkmark should appear on the top-right corner of the screen with the message “Set main nation to [YOUR NATION]”.

Next, we need to set our Jump Point. This is where you’ll be moving your puppets while prepping and chasing raiders from during defenses. The default JP should already be set to eta. If not, input that into the text box and click on “Set”. Again, a green popup with a checkmark should appear on the top-right corner of the screen with the message “Set jump point to eta”.

Next, we need to set our Regional Officer Name. This is for setting ROs while detagging regions so that you can detag them later at your own pace. The default name should be “Reliant”, so go ahead and change that to whatever you want to set and click on “Set” when you’re done. A green popup with a checkmark (do you see the pattern yet?) should appear on the top-right corner of the screen with the message “Set detag RO to [RO NAME]”.

Next, we need to set Blocked Regions, so that you don’t accidentally move to the raider JPs while chasing. You’ll see that Reliant already gives you some recommended regions to block. This list is, however, incomplete and outdated. An up-to-date list can be found by contacting Update Command in Libcord.

Once you have the list, you can copy-paste that into the text box and click on “Set”. A green popup with a checkmark should appear on the top-right corner of the screen with the message “Set blocked regions”.

We’ll cover Dossier Inclusion and Endorse Inclusion in the Chasing Raiders section, as it’s something that you need to set during update while chasing multiple teams of raiders. For now, we’ll move on to Prepping.

Prepping is one of the most important parts of this section, as without informing Reliant what our switchers (puppet nations used for R/D) are, we won’t be able to prep our switchers using Reliant, which makes this entire process quicker and easier. You also won’t be able to easily log in to your switchers by just clicking the nation names in the settings, although you won’t be using this feature much during update.

Note that you need to make sure that all of your switchers have the same password, otherwise you won’t be able to prep using Reliant.

First, get a list of all your switchers that you want to use. It should ideally look like the below image:

Next, copy and paste that entire list into the second, bigger text box titled Switchers and click on “Set”. A green popup with a checkmark should appear on the top-right corner of the screen with the message “Set XXX switchers”, with XXX representing the number of switchers in the list.

Then, input your password into the first, smaller text box titled Password and click on “Set”. A green popup with a checkmark should appear on the top-right corner of the screen with the message “Set password to XXX”, with XXX representing the password of your switchers. And now you should be all set to prep puppets!

Next up, we’ve got the Max Happenings Count, which limits the number of happenings showing up in your screen to the number you input in the text box, which saves you screen space and keeps your screen from getting too hectic while chasing.

To configure this, you need to select one of the radio buttons titled “Endorse/Dossier/Region/World/Reports”, which will change the number of happenings shown on your screen for that section only. Click on “Set” after inputting your desired number in the text box. This will lead to a green popup with a checkmark appearing on the top-right corner of the screen with the message “count set to X”, where X represents the number you’ve inputted. Now repeat this process for each section, and you should be good to go.

I recommend you set 5 for each section, as it’ll prevent you from being distracted by the happenings while giving you just enough information. Of course, you can modify this any time and to any number you want!

Occupation Chasing Mode is the newest addition to Reliant’s features, tailored specifically for chasing raiders during major defenses from occupation attempts. When this is enabled, your move key (X by default) will be bound to a sequence of steps (Chase → Update Localid → Update Region Status → Endorse Delegate), each of which will require a separate keypress. This means by mashing the move key, you can quickly move to the target region and endorse the native delegate, thus giving you better chances to prevent an occupation.

Same as before, click on the radio button besides Enable Occupation Chasing Mode to well, enable it. A green popup with a checkmark should appear on the top-right corner of the screen with the message “Occupation mode enabled” to indicate that you’ve successfully turned it on. I recommend that you keep this enabled at all times, as we never know when an occupation attempt might materialize and this won’t affect normal chasing against taggers.

One of the core features of Reliant is that it binds certain actions like moving, endorsing, dossiering, admitting and resigning to the keyboard, allowing you to be much faster than before while chasing or detagging and to cut off the mouse completely from your workflow.

Chasing Keys is where you’ll be able to change these keybinds to whatever you want. click the radio button of the key you want to change and select the text box below. Press the key you want to set it as and click “Set”. A green popup with a checkmark should appear on the top-right corner of the screen with the message “Set function “keyyouselected” to key [KEY]”.

And finally, you’re done!

Now that we’re done setting Reliant up, it’s time to prepare your switchers so that you can use them during update. In this specific case, “preparing” means moving your switcher to Eta, applying to the WA and updating localid. These steps will have to be repeated for every nation you want to use for defending, and as you can imagine, it’s a very tedious process to go through manually. This is where Reliant’s prepping feature comes in clutch; by only clicking a single key a couple of times, you can do all of the aforementioned steps in a matter of seconds, making prepping hundreds of puppets within a couple of minutes very feasible.

First, go to Reliant Settings (0) and click on “Clear WA Apps” under Clear Stored World Assembly Applications. This will clear all stored WA apps Reliant previously might’ve had stored and allow you to start prepping from the beginning.

Then, login to the puppet you want to start prepping from. You can easily do that in the Reliant Settings page by scrolling down to Current Prep Switcher Set and clicking on the nation link(s) there. That should instantly login to the switcher(s) you’ve registered within Reliant.

Then, access the Reliant prep page by either clicking on the “Prep” button at the top or pressing P on your keyboard. It should look like the below image;

Next, click on the “Update” button under Current Switcher. This should let Reliant know what your current nation is and allow you to start prepping.

Now keep mashing P until you see the counter at the left under Switcher Prepped change to 1/XXX, with XXX representing the number of switchers in the list.

Congratulations, you’ve successfully prepped your first switcher using Reliant. All you have to do now is to keep mashing P until you’ve cycled through all of your nations and the counter says XXX/XXX.

Now open your email inbox. I’m using Gmail, for example, so it would look something like this;

Click on the first email at the top. You may not have realized it, but Reliant has already loaded the WA app in that mail into itself. You now need to do nothing but just continue to click on the right arrow at the top-right of your screen in order to cycle through your emails and load the WA apps into Reliant.

You should now be good to chase or detag with Reliant!

Now, we get to the fun part; chasing raiders. First, ensure that none of your nations is in the World Assembly before update starts, otherwise Reliant won’t let you switch nations. You can use Find My WA to figure out what your WA nation is among your switchers. Simply go to Reliant Settings (0) and click on the “Find My WA” button to check.

Then, click on the “Reliant” button at the top or press Spacebar on your keyboard. This should bring you to the Reliant home page.

You might be a bit intimidated by the layout of the page and the sheer number of buttons here, but it’s actually pretty easy once you’ve gotten the hang of it. Furthermore, you won’t need most of the buttons on display here, as you’re going to chase through the keyboard.

Let’s focus on the top left section of the screen first, which deals with the puppet nation controls. Click on the “Update” button first, which lets Reliant know which nation you’re logged into (you don’t have to switch to one of your switchers here, you can do this from your main nation as well). Next, click on the “Update Localid”. The top left corner of your screen should look like this:

Now, resign WA on whatever nation you have it in (you can quickly do it by pressing on the “Resign” button, but you need to be logged into that nation to do so) and click on “Admit on Next Switcher” to switch to one of the puppet nations you prepped earlier using Reliant.

Next, we’ll move on to the top right section of the screen, which deals with current region status. Click on the “Check Current Region” button first, which lets Reliant know which region you’re in at the moment. Next, click on the “Update” button for the extension to load who the current delegate of the region is (if it has one; if not, then it’ll show 0 instead) and when did the region last update. It should look like this:

Next, we’ll move on to the center right section of the screen, which deals with the raider jump point. This is where you track the raider jump point and dossier WA nations in there so that you can chase them. For that, put in the name of the raider jump point in the text box you see and click on the “Set” button. It should look this:

After that, press your dossier nation key (N by default) and it should bring up the latest relevant activity (move, admits, resigns and endorsements) in that region, as well as a list of WA nations you can dossier. Pressing the key again after that will continue to dossier those nations one by one until there are no nations left, at which point it’ll continue to refresh the tracked region until more WA nations pop up.

The region you’re tracking will remain the same no matter how many times you switch nation; you just need to press your dossier nation key to dossier the WA nations in there one by one. You can quickly clear out the dossier list by pressing the view dossier list key (M by default) and pressing it again when the list loads. You can also dossier nations by going to its page and pressing the dossier nation key.

Then, put the number of seconds you want the reported happenings to stay on the screen in the text box besides the Timeout (seconds) and under Reports, and click on the “Set” button. A green popup with a checkmark should appear on the top-right corner of the screen with the message “Set SSE timeout to X seconds”, with X representing the number you just put in the box.

Finally, the center left section of the screen deals with happenings in the jump point you’re using (which is going to be Eta most of the times). Press the endorse key (Z by default) to bring up a list of WA nations in the jump point you’re in that you can endorse. Continue pressing the endorse key until the list has disappeared. You’re now cross endorsed with everyone in your jump point! Again, pressing the endorse key after that will continue to refresh your jump point until more WA nations pop up for you to endorse.

After that, keep mashing the move key until you see a movement in the center of your screen, then press the move key twice in a row to move to the region the raider moved to.

Wait until the region updates, which should bring up this red flashbar around your nation name at the top left corner of your screen. This means that your switcher updated in the region and you can now switch to the next puppet.

Press the resign key (S by default) to resign WA from the nation you’re currently logged in. Then, press the resign key again to admit WA in your next switcher, which will automatically log in to the nation.

Congrats! You’ve just completed your first chase. Continue to doss nations in the raider jump point and endorse fellow defenders in your jump point to be prepared to chase again.

Last but not the least, let’s imagine a hypothetical situation where you’re chasing multiple teams and you’ve been assigned to chase one certain team. What do you do in that situation? One method you can use (if you’re familiar with which raiders use which series of puppets) is that you can use your mouse and manually select the puppets you’re chasing in the Reliant home page.

The faster and easier method is, however, to use the Dossier Inclusion feature found in the settings page. Press the settings key and scroll down until you see this:

Type in the common keyword of the raider puppet(s) you were assigned to chase (usually, the commander present at update will instruct you about this) and click on “Set”. A green popup with a checkmark should appear on the top-right corner of the screen with the message “Set dossier keywords”. You’ll now only be able to dossier puppets with the specific word(s) in its name.

Endorse Inclusion performs a similar function as Dossier Inclusion, but instead you’ll only be able to endorse puppets with the specific word(s) in its name.

Same as before, type in the common keyword of the defender puppet(s) on the same team as you (usually, the commander present at update will instruct you about this) and click on “Set”. A green popup with a checkmark should appear on the top-right corner of the screen with the message “Set endorse keywords”.

It’s recommended that you leave this blank until you need to or are assigned to chase a specific team of raiders.
