The Office of the High Overseer, alongside Talonia's allies in The Sovereign Seven, has reviewed GA Resolution #22, "Diplomat Protection Act," and hereby endorses its repeal.

Why?

1. “Requires that any diplomat granted diplomatic immunity be free from prosecution for crimes”
   Grants blanket immunity to all diplomats regardless of the severity of the offense, even for serious crimes such as assault or espionage, with no guarantee of accountability from the diplomat’s home nation.

2. “...search and/or seizure of personal belongings and belongings of family members and personal staff, seizure of pets”
   Extends immunity beyond diplomats to unrelated parties and even animals, creating legal loopholes with no diplomatic justification.

3. “Requires that nations in which diplomats are serving must provide the diplomat with the best medical care on hand in cases of emergency”
   Imposes an undefined and potentially burdensome requirement on host nations, regardless of their capacity or resources, without establishing clear medical standards.

4. “Requires that property agreed upon as extraterritorial or as diplomatic pouches or bags be immune to search, seizure, customs, taxes, vandalism or arson”
   Removes any possibility of inspecting diplomatic parcels, even if there is credible evidence of trafficking, sabotage devices, or biological threats, undermining national security.

5. “Prohibits nations from sending diplomats with the express intent of committing crimes of espionage, sabotage, subversion...”
   Acknowledges the aforementioned risks but provides no enforcement mechanism, while simultaneously protecting such individuals through total immunity, making the ban meaningless.

For these reasons, the High Overseer recommends that all citizens vote in favor of Repeal: "Diplomat Protection Act".
