Vote to Withdraw from the Sunrise Pact

Hello people of Ridgefield!

Today, we have some big news: it's time to flex your democratic rights! Ridgefield is currently considering withdrawing from The Sunrise Pact.

For those who aren't aware, The Sunrise Pact originally intended to guide inexperienced persons in how to author proposals for the World Assembly. This allowed established authors to guide hopefuls in the fundamentals of drafting. Though initially serving as a positive force for introducing new blood into the WA author community, Sunrise activity has shifted. With less active engagement fostering up-and-coming talent across the board, it's fallen away from the goals that initially drew us to them in the first place.

Despite being a part of The Sunrise Pact, our region does not receive any substantive benefit from this relationship. As we are considering modifying the details of our treaty with them, or withdrawing entirely, Ridgefield's government is reaching out to the people for your opinions and your votes, as laid out by our charter. Please let us know what you think!

Anyone who would like to discuss or comment on the vote itself or our relationship with The Sunrise Pact is welcome to join the Discord and discuss in the # council-chambers channel over the next day, or on the Region Message Board.
