Military Leadership: the Council of the Sword
The Folgorian Military is administrated by a cabinet made up of its heads of state and highest ranking officers. This body, known as the Council of the Sword or COTS, maintains and oversees Folgoria’s extensive military forces materially and ideologically.Commissar Nael Laska: Folgoria’s Commissar is the commander-in-chief of its military as well as its head of state. Commissar Laska has served in this role for most of the nation’s history and is focused and diligent in his vision of the military as a tool of expansion, policy, and maintenance of the state. Commissar Laska is also the Premier of Earth, a position that automatically grants him control over all Folgorian military forces based on the blue planet in situations where command of Folgoria’s armed forces needs to be delegated between Earth and Mars.
Premier Aileen Cannon: A natural commander and long-time servicewoman, Aileen Cannon worked her way through the ranks until becoming a six-winged general, the highest military position short of the Commissariat itself. Her distinguished service record and undying loyalty led the Commissar to appoint her Premier of Mars, where she serves as the military governor and planetary force commander.
The Generalship: The majority of the COTS is made up of Folgoria’s current six-winged generals. After Folgoria’s expansion to Mars and its subsequent force development, the number of generals in the Council was raised to seven, five for the different territories of Earth and two for Folgoria’s martian megasettlements. Following are the names of each general and their home territory:
First Folgoria: Agan Jericho, a hard-nosed and unyielding man with decades of experience. He is a veteran of most of Folgoria’s wars and has a prosthetic arm and trachea from his service.
Etérno: Saintanor Moise, a young and brilliant military mind who butts heads constantly with Chief Royal, the leader of Folgoria’s POLICE branch.
Alkebulan: Dinha Helosia Djimon, a career groundpounder from the Folgorian Rangers who was promoted directly from First Sergeant to Winged General by the Commissar himself.
Der Unvollständig Union: Liselotte Sommer, a graduate of one Folgoria’s most prestigious military academies with a ferocious interest in Earth’s history.
Guójůdŕ: Munkh-Orgil Jochi, a sarcastic individual who is more cutthroat than his peers due to his early life in a condemned Folgorian citadel.
Oceania: Hehu Tāwhiao, an incredibly tall, extensively tattooed, and unnervingly analytical man.
Montes Gemini: Mori Minori, a perceptive and quick-witted woman who has been General Cannon’s second-in-command for almost her entire career.
Tabernacle: Thor Eiríkrsson, a former special forces operator turned general. He was promoted to help pioneer low-g combat strategy for Mars.
Honorary Positions: While they do not have decision-making power in the COTS, the leader of Folgoria’s POLICE forces and the technical and administrative head of Folgoria’s military satellites and space fleet have positions on the council to provide input and voice their needs and concerns. In addition, Folgoria’s single artificial ego, LUCIFER, is present during council meetings.
POLICE Chief: Chief Landon Royal, an Angel City native with a five-year military career in Etérno.
Fleet and Installation Lead: Senior Administrator Malek Vertigo, the mastermind behind Folgoria’s fleet modernization and expansion.
Integrated Support and Total Network Defence: LUCIFER, a sentient AI designed to keep up with Pineconesian military efforts. They have a close relationship with the Commissar and deliberate with him privately over interplanetary defense.
