Rylet primarily uses NS Forums for role-plays. If you wish to conduct a role-play in any other way, please contact Rylet to discuss how to incorporate it into the region.

While in Role-Play please refrain from going Out Of Character (OOC), as it distracts from the role play and disrupts the illusion. If you must discuss OOC content, please put it in Spoilers or better yet do it through Chat or Telegrams.

Keep Role-Play discussions relatively open, *especially* if it involves other nations significantly. Keeping other players informed is important.

Do not bandwagon against a country OOC, without the player knowing (I.E. secret OOC Alliances)

Remember to separate IC antagonism from OOC.

Be respectful. Insults, flamebaiting, and other attacks on a person will not be tolerated. In Character attacks can be tolerated as long as it contributes to the RP and is focused on the fictional character and not the person behind it.

Every nation is flawed. I don’t care if you are a potential utopian society, to err is to be human. It adds depth to your Nation. Be willing to not always get your way, and to persevere.

Don’t be a jerk.

Don't god mod. Impervious defenses don’t exist. If you invest heavily in one thing, other parts will be lacking.

Keep your posts complex. If you find yourself delivering only a few sentences per post you may want to take the RP to IRC instead of using the Forum. Flesh out your posts to give detail and imagery for other players to build upon.

Please, PLEASE, use correct grammar, spelling, and punctuation. Use spell check, proof read, whatever you need to do. Nothing is worse than trying to read something with incorrect spelling and grammar.

Keep the RP progressing don’t let it fall behind the Regional “clock”. Keeping RPs up to date prevents bottlenecks as stories become increasingly intertwined over time.

Try to make war a last resort option. Attempt diplomacy first, as done in real life politics.

The region uses Modern and Post Modern Tech. Post Modern Tech is any technology that could be completed/created in the next 20 to 30 years. If you are not sure if something is okay check with a regional expert. We aim for realism here so no magic please, or future tech.
