Imprisoned Voting Rights Act

WHEREAS, the Parliament recognizes the want to prevent decay to democracy,

NEVERTHELESS, the Parliament recognizes the harm caused to democracy by removing the right to vote of the incarcerated,

WHEREAS, it is desirable, for that purpose, to strike out the words "those incarcerated are not eligible to vote until their term is over;" from Article X, Section II of Constitution of the People's Federation of Parieta,

THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED,

THAT the Parliament authorizes the amendment to the Constitution of the People's Federation of Parieta, in accordance with the following text:

IMPRISONED VOTING RIGHTS ACT, 2026

1. The Constitution of the People's Federation of Parieta, 2026, is amended by removing the following from Article X, Section II:

“those incarcerated are not eligible to vote until their term is over;”.
