Eternity: Foreign Dispatch Zero

Foreign Dispatch Zero

Greetings from the residents of the Eternity! Eternity is a role play region and community that emphasizes an enjoyable experience for anyone who dabbles in the art of role play, regardless of their preferences. Our primary thrust is in the field of Modern-Tech role playing, where, at the time of this release, the world of Siora is just beginning to unravel, its fate and future undecided. Carrying knowledge and traditions from their previous experiences, the founders and first nations of Eternity nonetheless bring with them a fresh breath of nation-building and together work to forge a unique, living global dynamic that serves to enhance the group's role playing experience. Though we emphasize having fun, we make significant efforts to ensure "reasonably reasonable level of realism" — as the Founder, Chief Administrator, and Dear Leader, He Who is Without Official Title, Ayzek, wants to put it. Part of why we operate mainly on our off-site forum board is because we believe NationStates role play is "untamed". Though one may pursue nearly any kind of role play on its forums, we nonetheless feel that it is too liberal. Many of us at Eternity feel that some control is necessary to create a true reasonably realistic game world — one way we'd like to describe Siora, the setting of our Modern Tech Role Play Scene. Hence, in order to address this and achieve a special balance between merriment and reasonably realistic reasonable realism, we established an institution called the Directorate, which oversees role play taking place on our boards. Cartography and other geographic affairs, technologies, RP-conflicts — everything role play falls under its jurisdiction. Under its guidance, each member is able to pursue their fantasies and grand stories — while respecting fellow players and their aspirations. And what if you don't want to feel the pressure of role playing as a world leader? Eternity also offers members a chance to role play as a big-wig parliamentarian — a hallmark of NationStates — a regular schmuck, and even humans who can throw fireballs and melt minds (outside MTRP canon, of course!)! All of this is possible within the region — the community. It's part of our vision to provide different flavors of role play so that members might enjoy themselves regardless of their specialized interests. And if we don't yet have it, you're certainly welcome to try and start it! We've a special forum created specifically to plan "unconventional" role plays — simply role plays that don't exactly fit into MTRP canon. Our Chief Administrator works had to keep our infrastructure cool, up-to-date, and sexy! One of our members even wants to bed the forums (nevermind it's the guy who maintains them)! It's kind of disturbing. But, it's true they're only getting sexier with each passing day. Our map too! And it's not even done! We've also our very own Twitter Feed. Originally meant as a tool for Adminstrative suppression (don't ask how, even we don't know), it evolved so we can create fictional Twitter accounts and Tweet about any happenings within our nation — just like writing a regular news report, but with a lot less characters and a lot less blood, sweat, and tears trying to cough up four paragraphs about the latest stock market crash. Finally, and perhaps our most prized jewel, would be our very own encyclopedic compilation of all things Sioran. It's still under construction though — large projects aren't easy, you know! Additionally, to clarify, when we speak about "community", I'm not merely referring to a loose association of people who want to play pretend-politics and pretend-war — which could describe any NS role play region. When we say "community", we're referring to a group of people who share passions, interests, and nefarious desires for world domination. A group of people who are friends, tightly-knit, and fun-seeking — a central tenet of the Eternity Role Play Community. Why not chat with us over afternoon tea? Or maybe join us in Facebook, or play games with us in Steam? You can be part of this and more! We don't shun good ideas! Join us, and perhaps find a nice place for yourself in our cozy little hub — or if you prefer to go it that way, attempt to overthrow Dear Leader! He's pretty much just waiting for the right guy (or girl!). Regardless of what you're after, just step right up and introduce yourself, and you might just find yourself a home in the ever-expanding reaches of Eternity. If you'd like to participate in our community, simply drop by the Forums Board (be sure to read the Starter Guide!). Joining the region [region=Eternity] is not exactly mandatory, though would be appreciated. If you've general inquiries or simply wanna talk a bit, you may find our members on the Chat. Otherwise, you could drop by the NS page. For administrative and inter-regional affairs, please telegram the Founder and Chief Administrator Ayzek/Imperial Monkeys. Thank You, [nation=noflag]Eternity RPC[/nation]

Fun facts: 1) On the date of this publication, the Eternity Community Board had 27 users active. This is over 110% of the region's population of 24, and slightly above of the usual average of approximately 25 peoples. 2) As of September 10, 2014, approximately 8 months prior to this publication, there have been over 4,000 posts, or an average of 21 per day — with a record high of 147 on October 11, 2014. It was probably largely spam. 3) Castleon is not the Emperor. Nyland stronk. 4) Ayzek is only slightly power-happy.
