The Valerana Agreement (3rd Edition)

Following a severe increase in war, and in war crimes, it was established by the region’s officials and the regions civilian majority that an agreement between nations was needed to establish a more human Trident. The ways that this will be done are as follows:

I. The use of biological and chemical weapons is not permitted. Biological and Chemical Weapons include Gas Warfare, weapons that spread sickness, weapons that create mutations, and others.
II. Genocidal acts such as mass rape and slaughter of innocent civilians is strictly prohibited.
III. The mass executions of POW is prohibited.
IV. Dealing any damage to any Archaeological or Cultural sites is strictly prohibited.
V. POWs must be fed and are not be tortured under any circumstances.
VI. The conscription of anyone under 18 is prohibited.
VII. If the government has the economic capability to feed civilians well, it should be done.
VIII. Weapons of Mass Destruction such as Napalm, Nuclear Missiles, Atomic Bombs, etc. are prohibited.
X. Intentionally harming medical units is prohibited.
XI.Soldiers who surrender to their opponent are not to be killed unless it is faked.
XII. War Reparations must be paid in Legitimate Currency, and Money made from illegal activities (Black Market, Stealing, etc.) will not be taken.

Violating any rule is already a war crime.

These rules are considered international law. If broken, the respective nation and possibly those who assisted in its crimes will be punished. The consequences for doing so are as follows:

I. The respective leaders and their co-belligerents will be tried in Federation City.
II. The Violation of rules I, III, VIII and X are punishable by execution.
III. The Violation of rules VI, VII and XII is punishable by imprisonment based on the severity of the crimes.
IV. The respective country will be occupied for a determined amount of time for any of the rules violated in Punishment I, which will be decided by the Court.
V. Generally, the respective country will pay an amount of money to the Trident and the victims, which will be decided by the court.
