Princess Renata rebuffs foreign criticism

EMERALD CITY (TEC) — On the night of December 18, 2015, Princess Renata DeRoche went on national television and delivered a media address to the Beringian people regarding the attack by the Bonodian Pan-African Liberation Front on Beringian ships. In her address she cited the responses of the Confederated States of Avalon and the HMoG to the failed invasion by the Communist and Socialist Unions as the reason for Bonodia’s current state.
“It was … the actions of the Holy Empire of Avalon in particular that created an environment that not only fostered conflict, but allowed a dormant organization to return and … make an attempt on the lives of one hundred and fifty five Beringian sailors,“ Princess DeRoche affirmed. She also mentions the destabilizing actions the HMoG, which has attempted to plead their case to the Beringian government. In response to the attacks on Beringian sailors the Princess has announced a “Special Action” of the Beringian military under her authority to combat the Marxists responsible in Bonodia. In her address she also asked the foreign nations already in Bonodia not to interfere.
Foreign media, in particular that of the Cassel Times, an Anglican newspaper, was staunchly opposed to Princess Renata’s remarks in her address. In an article written by Susie Sue, a reporter for the Cassel Times, Old Beringia was described as "blaming" the Anglicans for the catastrophe unfolding in Bonodia when any neutral observer can see the Anglicans are at fault. The Princess said in an exclusive interview with the Times that Avalon is on a path to moral decay if that article was any indication of the average Anglican citizen’s concerns — keeping their tax dollars in their pockets as opposed to offering aid.
A proponent of strict Beringian Fascism, the Princess elaborated, “Each state, and the international community as a whole, is a complex machine. And people are a single component in that machine. If one component decided to act on selfish and insular desires, such as tax money, the moral fiber of such a society would be weak. In supporting their own selfish goals their actions will be out of sync with the whole and eventually the machine will break down.” She went on to describe how tax dollars and foreign are one of the means someone of a lower station could help keep the “machine” that is the international community running flawlessly.
“The Beringian government’s first response was offering aid in the forms of weapons and boots on the ground,” said the Princess. “The Anglican government initially issued hollow warnings and ultimatums to the CSU. [The Bonodian Provisional Government] may have asked for Anglican aid specifically but they clearly chose wrong, just look at what has happened there.”
When asked to comment specifically on the Anglican media’s criticism of Beringian security abroad, the Princess responded, “I’m not going to bite my tongue. Those comments are simply idiotic. Not even worth serious consideration.”

The God-Empress could not be reached for Her opinion on the matter. High Guardsman Braddock of the Imperial Guardian Corps has stated that despite her discharge from the military she has gained a great deal of freedom in her usage of the Eastern Viceroyalty’s military and he hopes she uses it to the fullest extent in Bonodia.
It has been two years since Princess Renata DeRoche has been removed from her appointment as SCEVGC (Supreme Commander of the Eastern Viceroyalty Guardian Corps) by the God-Empress. Although she still has control of the Minor Islands’ grand strategy, direct commands and military strategy is now the duty of the current Supreme Commander.
We have reached out to the Department of War as well as the Department of Intelligence, Investigation, and Insulation for comment and details on the attack. In a statement released by the DIII's media relations office both the DoW and DIII affirmed that, “investigations are underway, once the Magnolia finds a friendly port in Bonodia safe for proper study we will have more information to report on the incident in the coming days.”
