Above: The testing of several missiles owned by Sleetavia, circa 1982

When people think of the Sleetavian military, they usually think of the diverse aircraft avaliable to the airforce, or the army or even the mighty Sleetavian navy. However, like nearly all countries, Sleetavia must have a trump card to ward off aggressors in the event of an apocalyptic war. That trump card is their nukes and nerve agents, to be deployed when all hope appears lost...or if another nation hits the launch button first.

To date, Sleetavia has 440 active nuclear missiles ready to be launched in silos scattered throughout Sleetavia (160 of which are used in submarines), 140 missiles filled to the brim with deadly nerve agent, and an additional 1,250+ missiles in storage to finish off anything left standing after the initial strike. Other nations have criticised Sleetavia for having biological and chemical weapons, citing that it is 'inhumane and illegal'. Sleetavia calls it 'Taking precautions'.

The mainbiological/chemical weapons of Sleetavia include, but are not limited to:

Anthrax
Tularemia
Q-fever
Bruceflosis
Botulism
Advanced Tubercolosis (ADT)
HIV
Melioidosis
C77, a crop killing agent
Staphylococcal Enterotoxin B (SEB), an incapacitating toxin

All of these agents and many more are in use and/or in storage. However, these are only agents and toxins.

The real sword of the biological and chemical arsenal is it's high engineered superviruses, meant to be unleashed on population centers to put an end to enemy resistance before it can even begin. These superviruses are:

Embedded Smallpox (EBS), a highly engineered version of smallpox that bypasses current smallpox treatments
Advanced Ebola (ADE), meant for use on livestock, but can also be used on humans to great effect
Marburg Haemorrhagic Fever Enhanced(Marburg HFE), yet another virus for use on major population centers
Bunyavirus Cluster (BYVC). This is actually a collection of three viruses, them being Nairovirus, Phlebovirus and Hantavirus. This is almost like a cluster bomb...but filled to the brim with viruses.

However, even these enhanced killers are small fry compared to the most terrifying virus in the arsenal:

The Shirasaya Virus. Literally meaning ''Death Eater'', it is not really a virus in the traditional sense, but it's effects speak for themselves. Once spread over a population center, it seeps into the pores of it's victims. Once this happens, it accelerates the rate at which body fat and protein is consumed within the victim's body. Essentially, it forces the body to eat it's own flesh, and eventually the victim looks more like a skeleton than an actual human being. A side effect of this virus is that it also affects the amygdala, which is the part of the brain that controls the desire to eat. It heightens the amygdala's activity, driving it's victim to insanity as they develop aggressive, cannibalistic tendencies to attack and eat any other people. After 1-2 months, the victim will die an agonizing death as their own body literally eats them alive, driven by the effects of the virus. Essentially, the Shirasaya Virus is a weaponized short-term zombie virus - perfect for use on population centers.

Sleetavia's main weapon of choice when it comes to dealing out the apocalypse is the SM-210D, an upgrade of a missile series that has served Sleetavia well since the 1990s. The missile itself is 60ft in length and 6ft in diameter, a range of over 8,600 miles and weighing in at just over 76,000lb. It is built to be launched out of a silo, and it can carry the majority of the nuclear warheads in the nuclear stockpile. It is also capable of carrying warheads filled with anthrax, Q-fever, or botulism. When launched, this missile flies up to an altitude of about 650 miles, and can go up to nearly 18,000 MPH (Mach 23.4) at it's final phase. The guidance systems of all of these missiles, including the truck launched missiles, is controlled in the Nuclear Strategic Command (NSC) in }REDACTED{, meaning the missiles can also be detonated mid-flight if need be.

Of course, Sleetavia has her mobile missiles too. The SM-185C, a recent upgrade of a failed design, fills this role, clocking in at 72,000lb, a range of 5,500 miles, and is 70ft in length, and 5.5ft in diameter. It is capable of carrying and launching both biological weapons and nuclear weapons. When launched, these missiles will fly to an altitude of about 400 miles, achieving over 17,000 MPH in the process. The warheads, like the K60 will split into five separate warheads and hit different targets.

The only ICBM in the missile stockpile that can carry the monstrous K80 and K90 warheads, the SM-211A is a relatively new addition to the delivery system fleet. It is also the longest ranged missile, able to deliver a multi-megaton warhead to anywhere on the planet with ease. Originally developed for the space program (Which they are also used in by both civilian and military organizations such as the UCAF), it is no surprise that these heavy lifters were selected for testing and development for megaton range warheads. These ICBMs weight in at 86,000lb, have a circumnavigational range, and clock in at 84ft in length and 9ft in diameter.

And of course, where would Sleetavia be without a missile for it's deadly submarine fleet? The SM-184 fills this role superbly, clocking in at just over 64,000lb, a range of 4,800 miles, with a length of 44ft and a diameter of 4.8ft. It is capable of hauling biological weapons and the SK-66 MIRV, a collection of 10 warheads with a combined yield of 4000 kilotons. The missile itself flies up to about 350 miles in altitude, and can achieve a speed of over 16,500MPH in the process. The guidance system of the sub launched missiles are controlled either directly from the submarine or from satellites in orbit.

The K60 is the mainstay ground burst MIRV package of the Sleetavian strategic arsenal, and this package is the most common one mounted on the strategic missiles. Each warhead in the eight-nuke package has a yield of 675 kilotons, meaning that all together this package can deliver a total of 5.4 megatons to multiple targets.

The K78 (Pictured above with the MT(B)-62 truck) is the standard warhead of the mobile strategic arsenal of Sleetavia. While it is not as powerful as it's silo-launched cousins, it is still a very powerful surface burst warhead, clocking in with a yield of 525 kilotons.

The K78J is the air launched, air burst version of the K78 usually launched from vehicles. It can be mounted onto a cruise missile (As shown) and be carried by bombers, usually stealth bombers and carrier launched bombers at that, to their targets. Each of these warheads have a yield of 520 kilotons.

The K80 is an air burst, 22 megaton warhead specifically designed to flatten and destroy industrial and civilian centers.
With the only ICBM that can mount these things being the SM-211A, they are not as common in the arsenal as their kiloton-range brothers, but they do pack a hell of a lot more punch than the K60 and K78, justifying their continued use and production.

Introducing the K90. Being one of the most powerful nuclear devices in the Sleetavia military, a lot of awe and fear surrounds this air burst, 50 megaton bomb. But when the K80s don't kill it, just drop something bigger on it.

All you need to know about this highly classified bomb is this: K100. Surface burst, ICBM carried. 80 megatons. Enough said.

The AWD (Alternating Weather Device) is a high classified, highly advanced weather control station in [REDACTED]. Officially, it is used to research changes in weather and how it may be controlled. In reality however, it is one of Sleetavia's most potent superweapons; It is able to create hurricanes, typhoons, tsunamis, and thunderstorms, all of which it can create once charged. To hit any target anywhere in the world, it bounces it's vibrating atmosphere agitation waves off of purpose built satellites in orbit. These waves then 'agitate' the surrounding atmosphere, creating winds, electrical storms, or giant waves. The waves can be specifically tuned to create and/or stop any sort of weather. Indeed, this very device is used to protect Sleetavia from tsunamis and typhoons of extreme size, although there are several other civilian AWDs that officially are the ones responsible for this.

Project: Son'batur is a ground based, solar powered superweapon designed as a defense against heavily armed and armored spaceborne weapons. This is not to say, however, that it cannot strike ground targets. Like the above mentioned AWD, it can bounce it's high power photon beams off of satellites in orbit, or even have it's beams be collected by LVG-8 satellites and fired from them. As made obvious, the weapons are powered by solar energy. During the day. armored solar panels arrayed around the tower collect light from the sun, convert it to raw photon energy, and store that energy in capacitors located underneath the tower. When the weapon is fired, it charges up for around 10-15 seconds, depending on how much power is being pumped into the beam. Then, that power is surged through the center of the tower to the firing dome located at the top of the tower. This dome reflects the photon beams to wherever they need to hit. In fact, because of this reflection property, the beam can be split up and hit several targets at once, but doing this means that those individual beams are much weaker. Nonetheless, a single beam from one of the five towers of this project scattered around Sleetavia is capable of massive amounts of damage, especially if focused in on a single target or a close cluster of targets.
